Save 28% on HBO Max Before House of the Dragon S3 Drops

Streaming bills piling up? HBO Max just made the annual-subscription math a lot easier to swallow. Through July 15, new and returning subscribers can lock in any yearly plan at 28% off — and the timing couldn't be better.

On Saturday, June 21, House of the Dragon returns for its third season — arguably the biggest streaming premiere of the summer. The Dance of the Dragons has reached its bloodiest chapter yet, with the Greens and Blacks finally meeting in open war. If you've been waiting for a reason to jump back into HBO Max, this is it. Catch up on House of the Dragon seasons one and two this weekend, and you'll be ready for Sunday night's premiere.

Today also brought two solid additions to the HBO Max library. How to Make a Killing, the A24 black comedy starring Glen Powell as a suit salesman who decides to murder his way through a $28 billion inheritance, makes its streaming debut. It's stylish, funny, and runs a tight 105 minutes — perfect Friday-night fare. Alongside it, the HBO Original docuseries Ultras: Passion and Death digs into the violent underbelly of European football fandom, spanning three decades of stadium culture and crime.

Beyond the headlines, HBO Max's back catalogue remains the deepest in the streaming game. The White Lotus just wrapped another critically adored season — sharp social satire set in a luxury resort where the rich unravel spectacularly. The Last of Us season two aired earlier this year to rave reviews, expanding the post-apocalyptic saga with the same gut-punch storytelling that made season one a phenomenon. And if you somehow missed Succession, the complete four-season run is sitting right there, waiting.

On the film side, Sinners — Ryan Coogler's period horror starring Michael B. Jordan — recently arrived on the platform fresh off its Oscar campaign. It's joined by One Battle After Another and Marty Supreme, rounding out a strong 2026 awards-season lineup now available to stream.

Here's the deal math: the ad-supported Basic plan drops from $109.99 to $78.99 per year, the Standard tier (no ads, downloads, live sports) goes from $184.99 to $132.99, and the Premium plan (4K, four streams) falls from $229.99 to $164.99. All three include the full HBO Max library — Warner Bros. films, DC, A24, Studio Ghibli, Turner Classic Movies, and live sports on Standard and above. The offer runs through July 15 and applies to both new and returning subscribers.

At under $80 for a full year of ad-supported access — or about $6.60 a month — it's one of the sharper streaming deals on the board right now. And with House of the Dragon landing Saturday, there's no shortage of reasons to hit subscribe.
