Toy Story 5 just hit theaters on June 19, and it's already the talk of the weekend. The latest chapter in Pixar's beloved franchise brings back Woody, Buzz, and the gang — this time facing a world where even toys aren't safe from being replaced by technology.

The buzz around this one is real. The voice cast is stacked with surprises — Toy Story 5 features Conan O'Brien, Bad Bunny, and returning favorites like Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. Taylor Swift wrote and performed an original song for the film called "I Knew It, I Knew You," which she debuted live at the world premiere. Randy Newman also returned to score it, keeping that classic Toy Story sound intact.

If you're heading to the theater this weekend — or just want a nostalgia hit at home — now's the perfect time to revisit where it all began. All four previous Toy Story films are streaming on Disney+, and they hold up remarkably well.

Start with the 1995 original Toy Story, the film that launched Pixar and changed animation forever. It's a tight 81 minutes and introduces the core dynamic between Woody and Buzz with more heart than movies twice its length.

Then move to Toy Story 2 (1999), widely considered one of the best sequels ever made. It expands the world, introduces Jessie and Bullseye, and somehow makes you cry over a cowgirl doll's backstory set to a Sarah McLachlan song.

Toy Story 3 (2010) takes the emotional stakes even higher — Andy is heading to college, the toys face an uncertain future at a daycare that's more prison than playground, and the final 15 minutes are a masterclass in storytelling.

And don't skip Toy Story 4 (2019). While some fans questioned whether a fourth chapter was necessary, it gave us Forky, Duke Caboom (Keanu Reeves!), and a surprisingly poignant ending for Woody that redefines what it means to be there for a kid.

That's four films, all on Disney+, all ready for a weekend marathon. Whether you're warming up for Toy Story 5 in theaters or just want to spend Saturday night with some of the best animated storytelling ever made, you can't go wrong.

Woody said it best: you've got a friend in these movies.
