Thirty-six years after the original turned haunted-house comedy into an art form, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice finally arrives on Prime Video this Friday. Tim Burton reassembled the ghost-with-the-most crew — Michael Keaton returns as Betelgeuse, Winona Ryder is back as Lydia Deetz, and Catherine O'Hara reprises her role as the wonderfully unhinged Delia — while adding Jenna Ortega as Lydia's skeptical daughter Astrid and Willem Dafoe as a dead Hollywood action star turned afterlife detective. The 2024 sequel pulled in over $450 million worldwide and scored a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. If you missed it in theaters, this is your weekend to fix that.

Oscar Gold: Poor Things Comes to Netflix (June 7)

If your weekend mood leans more toward the weird and wonderful, Poor Things lands on Netflix this Sunday. Yorgos Lanthimos's Frankenstein-meets-feminist-fairytale swept the 2024 awards season — Emma Stone won her second Best Actress Oscar for playing Bella Baxter, a woman brought back to life with the brain of her own unborn child who embarks on a journey of self-discovery across a gorgeously surreal alternate-Europe.

It's a movie that asks big questions about autonomy, desire, and what it means to be human — all while serving up some of the most visually inventive filmmaking of the decade. Plus, Mark Ruffalo does Greek accents and Willem Dafoe plays a mad scientist with a duck-face scar. What more do you need?

Returning Favorites: Grey's Anatomy Season 22 & Resident Alien Season 4 (June 6)

Friday is also a big day for returning series. Grey's Anatomy drops Season 22 on Netflix — yes, the medical drama is still going strong, still making us cry, and still proving that Seattle Grace (sorry, Grey Sloan) has the highest mortality rate of any fictional workplace in history. New episodes pick up after last season's cliffhanger at Catherine Fox's wedding, with plenty of surgical drama and relationship chaos in store.

Meanwhile, Resident Alien Season 4 arrives on Netflix the same day. Alan Tudyk's masterpiece of deadpan alien-on-Earth comedy has only gotten sharper with age. If you haven't caught up yet, the premise is simple: an alien crash-lands on Earth, murders a small-town doctor, takes his identity, and slowly — begrudgingly — starts to care about the humans he was sent to destroy. It's The Office meets Third Rock from the Sun, and it's absolutely delightful.

Weekend Binge Alert: The Legend of Vox Machina Season 4

Already out on Prime Video as of Tuesday, The Legend of Vox Machina Season 4 is perfect weekend-binge material. The animated fantasy series, based on Critical Role's legendary Dungeons & Dragons campaign, just keeps getting bigger and better. The voice cast — including Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, and Sam Riegel — brings the same chaotic energy that made the show a cult hit, but Season 4 reportedly raises the stakes (and the body count) significantly. If you like your fantasy with R-rated humor and surprisingly emotional storytelling, this is your show.
