Mina and Karen are the new owners of a very outdated and bland townhouse in the heart of the Bates-Hendricks neighborhood. Despite the maroon carpeting, peach wallpaper and active bird's nests, the home has a lot of potential. The girls get started designing a new layout after demolition but all work comes to a halt after they find a surprise in the attic and have to call the police. Once they are back on track, Karen and Mina pour their hearts and souls into finishing the home for friends of the family.

After some fun demo with a giant water hose, they design their new house with a simple, urban and classic aesthetic. The size of the house and its great location could mean a selling price close to $500,000 if they play their cards right. After the massive demolition is complete, Mina and Karen get to work designing the new layout, which includes an extra loft space on the second floor and vaulted ceilings in the kitchen. For the design aesthetic, they go with an elegant, bohemian vibe by adding splashes of color to the interior and exterior.
