"Madalena do JUCU" is a samba by Martinho da Vila, adapted from the folk song "MADALENA," sung by the Congo bands of Espírito Santo for over 70 years. The documentary unveils the universe of Congo—a genuinely Capixaba cultural manifestation still unknown to the majority of Brazilians—while presenting versions of the origin of "MADALENA" told by the congueiros
