Synopsis
In this program, follow the Royal Navy's campaign to sink the largest German battleships--the Tirpitz, the Bismarck, and pocket battleship the Graf Spee. Also examined are the roles of battleships in supporting the Allied landings at Anzio. A special bonus program reviews the Battle of Midway, the first naval conflict where neither of the opposing fleets ever sighted each other and battleships acted only as screens for the carrier forces.
