He started his career as an actor with “Yek Teke Nan” by Kamal Tabrizi and after that with “Fireworks Wednesday” by Asghar Farhadi. He directed his first long movie, “Africa”, in 2010. He has won a lot of awards such as the Crystal Simorgh for Best directing for “Africa”, the Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actor for “I Am Diego Maradona” by Bahram Tavakoli and the Crystal Simorgh for Best script for “Sheeple” from Fajr Film Festivals. His most notable activities are “Special Line” by Mostafa Kiaei, directing “13” and “Sound and Fury” movies.
