Martha Karagianni (Greek: Μάρθα Καραγιάννη, 1939 - 2022) was a Greek film actress. She was born in Athens, to Pontic parents, but grew up in Keratsini. She was one of the most popular actresses of the 1960s. She starred in many films, 19 of which were produced by Studio giants Finos Film. Her film career was associated with the glamorous musicals and comedies of Yannis Dalianidis. Their collaboration began in 1961 in the film Liar Wanted. She made her first appearance on television in the TV series The street in 1977. She most recently starred in the films I'm Dying for You (2009) and Out of Love (2014). She died in Athens on 18 September 2022, at the age of 82, after suffering a stroke. Martha Karagianni was one of the most famous and talented actresses of the classic Greek cinema.
