Lael Rodrigues was a producer, director and screenwriter. The three films that directed in the 80s present the participation of singers and rock bands of great success of the time. They were great box office hits in Brazil, especially among young audiences. In 1987, after finishing the filming of Rádio Pirata, he suffered a rupture of the esophagus, which led to the development of acute pancreatitis and renal failure. He died at the age of 38.
