Gizem Emre, born on May 22, 1995, in Berlin-Kreuzberg, is a German actress and model. The daughter of Kurdish parents from Turkey, she discovered her passion for acting while still in school. At the age of 17, she applied to an acting agency and began her career with minor roles. She achieved her breakthrough in 2013 with the role of Zeynep in the successful film series *Fack ju Göhte*. She reprised this role in the sequels *Fack ju Göhte 2* and *Fack ju Göhte 3*, as well as in the spin-off *Chantal im Märchenland* (2024). Since 2014, she has played the lead role of Commissioner Dana Wegener in the television series *Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei*, appearing in over 50 episodes through 2022. In addition to her work in Germany, Gizem Emre has also gained international experience, including a role in the US series *Homeland* and a Turkish-language role in the series *Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem*.
