Born: January 14, 1979 in London, England, UK
Jack is part of a multi-award-winning writing partnership with his brother Harry Williams. They began writing together 2007 with the BBC2 sitcom ROMAN’S EMPIRE, starring Mathew Horne and Chris O’Dowd. The show was subsequently piloted for American television, with Kelsey Grammer in the lead. After this, they pursued a career in comedy, writing shows for both in the UK and American markets, writing numerous pilots for Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, NBC Universal and CBS Television among others. For the UK they wrote and produced pilots and series including THE AMAZING DERMOT, BAMBOO, FULL ENGLISH and THE GUARDIANS (which they also directed). In 2014 Harry and Jack wrote and executive produced BBC1’s Golden Globe and Emmy nominated drama THE MISSING. The series, which starred James Nesbitt, was also nominated for four BAFTAs, including Best Drama. This success led to a second series, starring Keeley Hawes and David Morrissey, which broadcast at the end of 2016 to critical and commercial acclaim. Since setting up their production company Two Brothers Pictures in 2014, Harry and Jack have sought to nurture the best writing talent in the UK and internationally. In its short history, the company has already produced shows for Amazon, HBO, AMC, BBC, ITV and Sky, including Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s international hit-comedy FLEABAG. Their latest production was their self-penned thriller THE TOURIST starring Jamie Dornan for BBC One and HBO Max.
