Alisher Sultanovich Khamidkhodzhaev (Uzbek: Alisher Sultonovich Xamidxojaev; b. July 20, 1969, Tashkent) is a Russian and Uzbek cinematographer. Born in Tashkent, graduated from VGIK in 1992 (workshop of V. D. Nakhabtsev, A. L. Knyazhinsky). From 1993 to 1999 he worked at the St. Petersburg Documentary Film Studio, shot several documentaries. In 1994-1998 he took part in the creation of the "Kinoletopis of Russia". Since 2004, he has been working in feature films as a director of photography. He has been awarded many prizes at the world's most prestigious film festivals and has been repeatedly noted as the best cinematographer by the Guild of Russian Film Critics.
