Anthony Joseph Gilroy (born September 11, 1956) is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. He wrote the screenplays of The Bourne Identity (2002), The Bourne Supremacy (2004), and The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), the first three films in the Bourne film franchise. He wrote and directed the fourth film of the franchise, The Bourne Legacy (2012), as well as Michael Clayton (2007) and Duplicity (2009). He received Academy Award nominations for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Michael Clayton. After co-writing the Star Wars film Rogue One (2016), for which he directed uncredited reshoots, he became the creator, showrunner, head writer and executive producer of its prequel series Andor (2022–2025) on Disney+.
