Although he hails from South Texas, Collin began his writing career while living in Romania, where his script "The Family Lottery" was produced by MediaPro Pictures. The film follows a young orphan's search for a family to host her for Christmas and has since become a holiday staple In 2020, Collin's script "King James", which was a Semi-Finalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, was optioned by Producer Peter Samuelson (Arlington Road, The Libertine, Revenge of the Nerds). Collin has also written and directed multiple award-winning short films, which have screened at festivals across the globe such as Raindance, LA Shortsfest, Hollyshorts, and the Santa Fe Film Festival. Collin has a BA in Film Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. When not writing and directing film and TV projects he is a mentor with the Young Storytellers Foundation in Los Angeles.
