An Egyptian music composer, born in Cairo on August 8, 1954. His father, Dr. Ali Maher, discovered his son's talent in music, so he was keen to teach him music from an early age. He joined the Conservatoire after obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce from Cairo University, but he dropped out. He moved among many of the best Western music groups, including Les Petits Chats, Cats, and 4M. He composed music for many films, series, and plays, as well as Ramadan riddles (Fawazeer).
