Marcos Alexandre is a screenwriter, director and producer and co-founder of Gran Maître Filmes. He has a professional master's degree in Screenwriting, was part of Netflix's program for black screenwriters and, in 2025, completed an intensive course at the New York Film Academy. His short film Caluim was awarded prizes and screened at more than 40 national and international festivals. His Afrofuturist sci-fi My Father and the Beach had its world premiere at the 13th AFRIFF in Lagos, Nigeria.
