Tanat Zhailibekov April 15, 1929, Berlik village, Dzhambul District, Alma-Ata Region, Kazakh SSR — July 27, 1989, Alma-Ata. He graduated from GITIS (State Institute of Theatre Arts) in 1954. From 1944 to 1949 and from 1954 to 1989, he worked at the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater named after Mukhtar Auezov. In the 1970s, he was one of the founders of the programs Tamasha and Kymyzkhana, and hosted various shows on republican television and radio. Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1966).
