He first came to prominence in the 1990s with the band Nymphet Noodlers, which was produced by Ebbot from The Soundtrack of Our Lives, and later gained wider recognition through his collaborations with a wide range of artists and groups. Hellberg has performed as a session musician and band member with influential acts including The Hellacopters, Nationalteatern (as lead singer), The Solution, and as a touring guitarist with Håkan Hellström. He is also known for his duo Hederos & Hellberg, whose minimalist piano and vocal interpretations of diverse songs earned acclaim and toured internationally in the early 2000s.
