«Regression» is a debut short film by Daniil Gorelov, a graduate of the journalism department of Contemporary Art Institute. The young director has had a desire to make films since childhood. In his first picture Gorelov combines everything he deeply loves cinema for – ranging from visual citation of Fritz Lang’s «Metropolis» and «M» to not so obvious references to Orson Welles and David Lynch.
