In 1947, he was accepted into the acting troupe of the Saratov Young Spectator Theater. Lenin Komsomol (now the Saratov Academic Theater of the Young Spectator named after Yu.P. Kiselyov). Since 1960, he has been an actor, director and artist of musical theaters in Russia. Becoming interested in amateur cinematography, in 1970 he left his job at the theater and began making films. In 1977, he created the amateur film studio “Poisk” in Saratov, in which he acted as a director, cinematographer, screenwriter, artistic director of films made by studios.
