Junyi Xiao

Junyi Xiao is an award-winning filmmaker and animation artist. His films have been selected and screened at many international animation festivals all over the word including Annecy and Hiroshima. In 2015 and 2017, his film After School and Elsewhere were nominated for two Annie Awards. In 2022, his film Tomato Kitchen earned Oscar qualification by winning the best international animation short film award at the International Animation Festival Chilemonos. Meanwhile, as a senior animator and story artist at Buck Design, Junyi worked on lots of animation commercials and original contents. The animation commercial Creativity for All won the Wood Pencil Award at D&AD Awards, which is one of the most prestigious benchmarks for creative excellence in design and advertising. The animation music video We the People for Netflix also nominated 2 Annie Awards in 2021.
