Izac De Castro

A Christchurch, New Zealand based Filipino filmmaker who at an early age got inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli films. Izac moved from the Philippines to South Korea in 2013 and started to pursue a career in the film industry at the age of 13. In 2016, he moved to New Zealand for High School and College where he finished with a diploma in Film and TV Production in 2022. Izac alongside his friends from college, created the award-winning post-apocalyptic short film "What We Leave Behind", which accumulated nominations and also "Best Suspense/Thriller" at Alternative Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.
