Synopsis
A mock-historical documentary utilising old, often obscure, film clips to satirise world history, with hosts Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones presenting behind desks and featuring a running gag about Smith's ancestors appearing in the footage. A second series features a slightly altered format focusing on topics like medicine, law, and science.
