He spent 27 years of his life in prisons and camps, 450 days in solitary confinement and punishment cells. He endured 23,000 kilometers of transportation and 45 hunger strikes. He was tortured with cold and hunger, provocations and mockery. Three times they tried to physically destroy him. But he survived.
