Season 1

Episode 1

Heung Wing’s furniture company suffers business setbacks. He is worried. His wife comforts him. It i s his birthday. His son Wai Chung brings along his new girlfriend Pik Yu to attend the celebration. Heung Wing is pleased. Heung Wing receives a big furniture order. His staff works overtime in order to help him finish the job on time. Heung Wing is grateful. The products are made. Wai Chung and the shop apprentice Yat Kan deliver them to a restaurant. On their way, they meet a girl call Mei Ki. Yat Flan is attracted by her. The restaurant manager refuses to accept the products.

Episode 2

Wai Chung start an argument with the manager. Lok Man Hin mediates their quarrel. Yat Kan is infatuated with Mei Ka's beauty. Wai Chung encourages him to approach her. Mei Ki is also impressed with Yat Kan's appearance. They start dating. Wai Chung’ s sister Man Tin gets acquainted with a refined young man called Jo Yiu. She finds him adorable. Mei Ki hates her father and finds her mother pitiable. She intends to get her mother to live with her, but she refuses. Mei Ki was born in a poor family. In order to get rid of poverty, she marries at the age of sixteen. Her marriage is a total failure. After her divorce, she works as a secretary in a commercial firm. But actually, she has become a high class call- girl. Pik Yu teaches piano in Lok Man Hin' s house. She begins to develop friendship with his daughter Si Long.

Man Hin gets acquainted with Pik Yu and is attracted by her. Wai Chum wins a bet in horse racing. He uses the money to buy himself a motorbike. In the countryside, he gets acquainted with Si Long and gives her a lift back to town. Yat Kan completes the furnishing and is invited to Mei Ki's house-warming party. He is happy to find that Mei Ki does not have a boyfriend. Heung Wing needs a big sum of money for curing his wife's kidney disease. He intends to sell his furniture shop.

Pik Yu sees that Man Hing has neglected his two daughters because of his work. She talks to him about it. Man Hind is grateful for her advice. Hing Kuen learns that Man Hing is going to develop the district which Heung Wing's furniture shop is in. He at once tells him the good news. Heung Wing sells the shop at a good price. Since the shop is closed, Wai Chung hangs around bars with Hing Kuen. Pik Yu is displeased about it.

Heung Wing starts a new shop. Wai Chung and Yat Kan cooperate to try out new management methods. Mei Ki accompanies a client to visit Macau. She takes along her mother Wu Chun and shows her around. When they return, Wu Chun discovers that her husband Ching Fok has been injured. She stays home to take care of him. Si Long meets Wai Chung and Pik Yu talking to each other intimately in the disco. She relates it to her father Man Hin, who decides to win over Pik Yu to himself.

Wai Chung employs a new staff Hing Kuen to help him with his declining. Hing Kuen boasts of being able to turn the business around. He wins the trust of Wai Chung. On the other hand, Yat Kan discovers that Hing Kuen uses second rate materials in order to win more business. Yat Kan relates it to Wai Chung but finds him stand on Hing Kuen's side. Man Hing starts dating Pik Yu. They go for a piano concert and meet Wai Chung who has got drunk with Hing Kuen. Pik Yu is greatly disappointed with him.

Hing Kuen gets very bossy in the shop. Yat Kan finds the situation unbearable and decides to start his own business. Mei Ki learns it and offers financial help to him. Yat Kan refuses. Mei Ki plans to go steady with Yat Kan. She decides to take more clients in order to earn more money. While she is staying with a client, she receives the news about her mother being beaten up by her father. She reports to the police to have her father arrested.

Ching Fok begs Mei Ki to forgive him, but she refuses. In anger, Ching Fok reveals to Yat Kan that Mei Ki is a high class call girl. Yat Kan is shocked. Man Ting finds Jo Yiu's attitude intolerable. She begs him to spare more time with her, but he refuses. Despaired, she leaves him.

Having taken some drugs, she dashes out of the road and being hit by a car. Si Long is paralyzed after the car accident. Man Hing thought that it has been the contrivance of Wai Chung. He decides to make him pay for what he does.

Man Hing uses his influence to have Wai Chung beaten. Yat Kan gets knocked down by a car in order to save Wai Chung. Mei ki rushes to the hospital and finds that Yat Kan has lost his sight. Griefed, she decides to stay by his side for the rest of their lives. Wai Chung begins to feel pity for Si Long after the car accident. He stays by her side to take care of her. Their relationship developes. Pi Yu learns with bitterness that Man Hing has used dirty means to revenge on Wai Chung. In great disillusionment, she reports the case to the police.
