LIN works as a maid servant for the CHEUNGS. Her Master CHOR wants to adopt her as his concubine as she is so charming. He usually peeps at LIN when she is bathing. However the judge regards it as a home affair and just warns LONG. LIN is angry and when she goes to buy medicine for herself, she buys some poison to kill LONG. When HING knows her act, he stops her. When CHUNG learns that LONG and LIN have gone to the court, he rushes home to see what has happened. After killing LONG, LIN seeks help from HING and WONG at midnight. HING promises to bribe KAU - the funeral worker and WONG helps her clean the place. KAU claims that LONG dies of internal injury and he asks LIN to burn LONG's body as soon as possible. CHUNG returns and goes to visit LONG's tomb. He is surprised to see that all vegetation near the tomb wilt. He opens the coffin the next day, finding that all LONG's bones are black. He believes that LONG had been poisoned before he dies. At last MAN SIU sentences LI CHUNG capital punishment after listening to the others' statements. PING begs HUI to find KAU. On the other hand, PING claims that she is the killer so as to get more time for investigation. CHUNG does not know how to help her. MAN SIU finds that case strange and sends CHUNG to find KAU. As LIN knows that HING has done so many things for her, she is impressed and gives him her body. On the other hand, she feels guilty for PING.

Instructed by PING, CHUNG finds the evidence outside a deserted temple. However HUI cannot find KAU. He worries for PING. MAN SIU discovers the so called evidence is a broken bowl belonging to the FAS. He knows that PING cannot be the killer and he punishes her and decides to have LI CHUNG prosecuted the next day. After LI CHUNG's death, HUI takes care of PING. FA knows that HUI loves PING and he does not object. PING advises HUI to work hard for FA and he does so. After forty-nine days of LONG's death, LIN marries HING but she is humiliated by HING's wives and concubines. She is even framed of poisoning HING's third concubine. At last she proves that she is innocent. MUI is sent to be her maid servant and she knows her dangerous situation.

Besides he gives him a big present. HING accuses CHUNG having taken his maid servant away. CHUNG is arrested. KAU wants to kill HING but he is killed. MUI and KWAI wait in the wood for CHUNG. They meet CHUNG and suddenly the soldier escorting CHUNG attacks CHUNG. MUI protects CHUNG and is hurt seriously.
