The gangster Arnold Somville escapes from prison. His cell mate, junkie Dirk Van Hout, tells the police he might have shot his mouth off against Somville. Joel Mattijsen breaks in at his former employer, remembering a million is kept there in a safe. But Hugo De Pauw, the night watchman, shoots Joel. His son André tries everything to minimize the robbery. He doesn't want the police to poke around in their incestuous family. After questioning it seems that Chris is put under pressure by Patrick Lemoine, an underworld figure. Chris has to pay off his gambling debts by drug running. In return for a reduced sentence he agrees to help getting the big guys of the gang. But it totally goes wrong. In the mean time Matti feels sorry for Doris, because Doris stole to pay for a breast prosthetic. She lost one due to breast cancer. But is such a compassion justified?
