He makes sure he is public enemy number 1 in the production office, as he throws out everyone's ideas and brings in fresh new ideas, stories and characters. Everyone disagrees with the ideas but Pope is convinced his ideas will make Echo Beach a ratings hit. Is he right? Time will tell... Episode 4, the explosion episode is coming up and that episode is the one they are aiming to beat EastEnders to in the Spectacular Scene of the Year award at the British Soap Awards. With no Jonathan for this crucial episode, Sam is left in charge.

The sand riddle, has been leaked to the press, and Nancy is not happy. She decides to stick around, and keep an eye on things, which just leads to chaos. Especially when she suggest to the team, that they should kill Fin in the next episode.

With the show also being £100,000 over budget, Jonathan realises in order to get Series 2, he may have to fire one of the stars in order to stay on budget. Jonathan decides on getting rid of one of the three biggest stars. Jason, Martine or Hugo.
