A student has taken a call from what she thinks is a retail giant’s fraud team, warning her that hackers have bought a £900 phone on her account. It’s a lie, of course, but she won’t know that unless Rav, Nick and the Interceptors team can find a way to get through to her. Meanwhile, the team are on the road with the Metropolitan Police as they set about smashing down the doors of a group of number-spoofing scammers. Hunting the O2 Fakers
The Scam Interceptors are on the trail of a Pakistan-based criminal call centre which is phoning UK mobiles pretending to be a phone company. It’s a sophisticated scam in which they appear to offer a great deal on a mobile phone contract when in fact, the only person paying will be the victim. Rav, Nick and the Interceptors go head-to-head with the criminals to try to warn the victim before any money is handed over to the crooks.

Meanwhile, we hear from a woman who handed over £20,000 to fraudsters she thought were helping her take advantage of a government energy rebate.

Scammers posing as a bank’s fraud team have convinced a vulnerable woman to withdraw £2,000 in cash to help them expose a conspiracy of criminals they say are operating at her local bank branch. The only people who can stop her sending the money are the Interceptors, but they’ve got a job on their hands to convince her who the real criminals are. Meanwhile, Nick goes undercover to infiltrate a fake investment scam.

The Interceptors go online dating and, within hours, have lured in a romance scammer claiming to be a cruise ship agent. The man is asking for money, but how will he react when the team reveal who they really are? Meanwhile, in the Scam Hub, the Chapman family believe they are talking to a card company and that there is a problem with their debit card. Can the team intervene to stop them making a big mistake?
