Twelve Competitors are introduced to Meltdown by host Trevor Collins who divides the group into two teams, Fire vs. Ice. The competitors familiarize themselves with their environments at basecamp while looking for allies before heading to the Puzzle Rush Challenge. The losing team must then face the Chopping Block, where the island claims its first victim.

A jury of their peers then decides who among the 3 finalists should be crowned the champion of Survive Block Island Meltdown!
