Pöysti, Neponen and Routalempi are solving case Rutanen, who is barricaded himself in his house and threatens to cut himself, even when he doesn't have a knife. The same happens next day, except now he has dynamite and family as hostage. Pöysti tells Pekka to shoot the house with a bazooka when the house is empty, but the family dog, Marsalkka, runs back inside and dies.
