HANG accompanies LAI-SUM to a prenatal examination. LAI-SUM’s doctor is ill today, so another doctor attends her. This doctor has a very bad attitude, and so HANG rebukes him. HANG and LAI-SUM’s relationship has improved a great deal. HANG is very pleased that one of his sons will become a father soon, and the other has found a good girlfriend. SUM and LAI-SUM walk past a room at which other couples are attending a prenatal class. LAI-SUM is surprised to see the nurse teacher is Silk Stocking Maniac. SUM borrows an electronic baby from Silk Stocking Maniac so that they can practice how to take care of a baby at home. After one day’s practice, the couple realize that taking care of a baby is by no mean an easy job. HANG gives the jade bangle bequeathed to the family to LAI-SUM. CHING SUM works for a pharmaceutical company called Man Shui Tong. His younger brother, CHING YEE, works there too, and he is a manager. SUM and YEE go to a commercial shooting with their boss LO CHUNG-CHUN. When they finish, SUM takes the models to one of the company’s retail shops to get some souvenir. Meanwhile, his wife, KO LAI-SUM, calls. LAI-SUM is an overbearing woman. He lies about where he is, and then LAI-SUM appears right in front of his eyes! LAI-SUM’s mother, KAM NGAN-FA, used to be the leader of a triad. The mother and daughter run a transportation company called Dragon Logistic Transport Co. They have four staff, who are better known as the FOUR KINGS. FA and the FOUR KINGS defend SUM. SUM wants to answer LAI-SUM’s call, but his mates, who are also his junior team members, KWONG SUN-SO and HUNG TSEUK-SHEK, do not let him. So LAI-SUM goes to SUM’s company instead……

LAI-SUM is requested to look at a lineup at the police station. She recognizes the sicko, who turns out to be SUM. She throws her cell phone at him, but hits Chief Inspector CHAN WING-YAN instead. The couple are detained. FA bails LAI-SUM out. She has an argument with LAM BAT-HANG, SUM’s mother, when she hears HANG only wants to release SUM. Meanwhile, YEE has come. He takes them all to dinner. During the meal, FA asks SUM to make it up to LAI-SUM. HANG tries hard to support her son, too. SUM is put into a very awkward situation. CHUN plans to fight for the dealership of the ZFM’s masks, a product by a prestigious cosmetic brand. He asks SUM to give some samples to the staff. SHEK and SO try every way to get some. LAI-SUM is not happy that SUM has not reserved any for her. YEE bumps into MIU LING-CHI, who has just broken up with her boyfriend. He asks her to have a one-night stand with him but she leaves mid-way……

YEE has employed CHI as his secretary. SO and SHEK are distributing the samples. SUM pays SHEK $5,000 for one bottle, which he plans to give LAI-SUM. HANG goes the couple’s apartment to ask for a sample. LAI-SUM refuses to let her have it. They both apply a thick amount of the product on their face, and both develop an allergy afterwards. The meeting with MRS. KUK, manufacturer of SFM, goes very well. YEE takes CHI to a hotel to celebrate. She invites him home afterwards, where she can show him her photos taken in Miami. He tells her he knew about her lie; she admits honestly. She even shows him a photo of them taken together. He is taken aback when she moves on to say they had a one-night stand seven years ago in Miami, and that they have a son called YIK-YEE.

SO takes a disc to SUM’s place to share with him some pornographic photos. SUM has copied the photos to his computer when he is trying to delete them. Not wanting LAI-SUM to find out about them, he throws away the computer right away. Unexpectedly, the cleaning worker takes it to the property management office. LAI-SUM, who happens to walk past the office, sees the computer as well as the photos. YEE is surprised YIK speaks fluent Sichuanese. He inquires into YIK’s background from his school and learns that YIK is not CHI’s son at all. YIK’s real mother, WAI CHING, is now in Mainland China. YEE asks SUM to look for CHING for him. LAI-SUM worries that SUM will take the opportunity to fool around. SIN teaches her to put away SUM’s home return permit, just as she has put away SO’s. What SIN does not know is, SO has applied for a replacement already. SO and SHEK make a fake home return permit for SUM so that he can cheat LAI-SUM……

SUM has found CHING. She tells him CHI is the girlfriend of MO SAT-KUEN, owner of the Mo & Gi Company. YEE decides to let CHI’s scam continue. LAI-SUM and SIN go to the mainland as soon as the FOUR KINGS have informed them of SUM’s whereabouts. SUM sees some red palm prints and warnings on the wall when he returns home. He calls his friends to come over to help him explain to LAI-SUM. They, nevertheless, make things worse. SUM agrees to a divorce each other unthinkingly. YEE goes to CHI’s place to tell her SFM’s quote. KUEN, who is hiding behind the curtains, could not be more pleased to hear this. YEE takes CHI to a massage parlor and unmasks her. CHING shows up out of nowhere and gives her a good telling-off. CHI is black and blue. What’s more, when she is home, she sees KUEN sleeping with a delivery girl. As if this is not enough, KUEN takes out some intimate photos of YEE and CHI and accuses her of betraying him……

LAI-SUM has once said that she will never forgive SUM because of one thing that happened on their wedding day. So everybody tries hard to recall what that was. LAI-SUM has decided to divorce SUM, saying that he was disloyal to her on their wedding night. The FOUR KINGS give SUM’s parents, CHING YEE-CHEUNG and HANG, a box. They tell the old couple there is evidence of SUM’s disloyalty inside. But they can only find a tissue with a lipstick mark and LAI-SUM’s wedding ring. After going through what happened on their wedding day in his mind, SUM finally figures out why LAI-SUM is so mad about him. Later, he takes her to the hotel, which she believes he took another woman to on their wedding night, to explain to her. With the help of YEE, he puts on what happened that evening. Everything goes very smoothly until YEE sees his ex-girlfriend, YAU KA-LEI, and her husband, MIKAMI, in the balcony of the next room……

LAI-SUM drives away in anger. SUM takes a shortcut and blocks her way with his body. She is not slowing a bit however. He tries to leave but his shoes are stuck. Fortunately, she steers away in the last minute. Mistakenly thinks that she has died, he cries his heart out in the hospital. She is touched. MIKAMI has been a vegetable since his stroke, and so KEI brought him to Hong Kong for treatment. CHI knows from the papers that Man Shui Tong is recruiting people. She decides to give it a go. YEE visits MIKAMI, but his real purpose is to see LEI. MIKAMI moves when he sees YEE. In order to help him recover, LEI kisses YEE right before him. Man Shui Tong and SFM are throwing a celebration party. CHI tires hard to please CHUN, hoping that he will employ her. CHUN turns her down. YEE invites CHI to a dance.

YEE kicks CHI out of the party after making a fool of her. She is not giving up so easily however. CHUN appreciates her, and promises to give her a chance. SUM and LAI-SUM talk about their plan to Europe. That night, they both dream that HANG and FA have a fight. SUM and LAI-SUM lie to their parents and manages to talk them out of the idea of following them to Europe. CHEUNG and HANG run into FA at a restaurant. When they are chatting, they find out about SUM and LAI-SUM’s lies. The young couple therefore has no choice but let them go with them. At the airport, HANG and FA have another argument about where their son and daughter are taking them. Then they receive a text from SUM and LAI-SUM respectively, telling them they have fallen sick and so cannot make it to the trip. As a result, CHEUNG and FA are visiting Japan with SIN, and FA is going to Thailand with the FOUR KINGS……

CHI uses YEE’s car park without his consent. She does not inform him of meetings either. To revenge her, he puts up a turtle poster on her car. The Hunan Gang has bullied WAH DEE, one of the FOUR KINGS. He calls LAI-SUM for help, but she is unable to fight off the gangsters either. In the meantime, SUM, dressed like the gang’s leader, Brother XIAO, shows up unexpectedly. The gangsters run away in no time. FA does not want LAI-SUM to deal with the men at the fruit market. She wishes there was a man who could take care of the business. She hopes SUM would help her. CHI sees YEE and CHI buying silk stockings together. She follows him to a hospital. MIKAMI reacts violently when he sees LEI and YEE dancing together. Then all of a sudden, CHI rushes in with a self-defense shaver in her hands. MIKAMI gets an electronic shock instantly. CHI overhears YEE and LEI’s conversation. She does not know until then that he is so kind to his friends……

COCO DA MAN, the most respected man in the fruit market, donates a red banner for auction at the banquet. SUM buys it with LAI-SUM’s all-out effort. He has thus become a member of the fruit market. When they are home, she suggests him joining the Dragon Logistic. SUM asks SO and SHEK to send some edible birds’ nests to an old peoples’ home. SO puts some roast ducks into the same thermal container as the birds’ nests. As a result, the birds’ nests turn bad, and CHUN and other elderly suffer from food poisoning. The papers reports widely on this. CHUN wants to fire SO. SUM asks CHUN to do him a favor and let SO off. CHUN agrees on the condition that SUM quits. As requested by LAI-SUM, SIN and SO put on a drama to let SUM know how their family will fall apart if SO loses his job. SUM has quit, not for SO but for LAI-SUM’s sake. She is apparently very touched. HANG strongly opposes SUM’s joining the Dragon Logistic……

LAI-SUM rushes to the hospital. The nurses are rude to HANG. LAI-SUM tells them off. She takes very care of HANG too. HANG is grateful to her. MIKAMI and LEI invite YEE and CHI to dinner, during which LEI says goodbye to YEE. YEE is heartbroken. He drinks his sorrow away and starts to cry on the street. CHI stands by him all the way. There is something wrong with YEE’s lachrymal glands. He cries whenever he sees something in pairs. In order to help him get over LEI, CHI has worked out something called shock therapy. SO has turned from a slovenly person into someone who likes everything clean and tidy. SIN thinks he has become another person. SIN sees WAH DEE at a fruit stall. He is bathed in perspiration. She, for the first time, finds him very masculine and attractive. SIN has bought some T-shirts that are not of SO’s size. LAI-SUM finds this strange……

CHAN WING-HAU, cousin of Inspector CHAN, makes quite an impression on LAI-SUM on the first day he works at Dragon Logistic. YEE tells CHI HANG is a very good cook. She wants to go to his place for dinner, but he rejects her right away. CHEUNG and HANG run into CHI. HANG invites her to their house, but YEE declines her invitation on behalf of CHI. CHI turns to CHUN for help. YEE has no choice but takes her home. CHI has brought a cake. She requests YEE and his parents to celebrate her birthday with her. It turns out that her mother does not celebrate her birthday with her ever since her father left home some 20 years ago. HAU notices that SIN has been very intimate with WAH DEE lately. SO tells him they are going out with each other. SO asks SUM to teach them a lesson. On the other hand, LAI-SUM hears SIN asking WAH DEE to meet her at a hotel. SO hits WAH DEE as soon as he and SUM have arrived at the hotel……

HAU and LAI-SUM race off down the road on his motorbike. This reminds her of the days when she and SUM were lovers. The sales of Man Shui Tonic Pills have dropped. CHUN orders YEE and CHI to do some promotion and marketing. They have been working till late night. Tired, they take some Man Shui Tonic Pills. Not soon afterwards, they start to have sexual fantasies of each other. They suspect this has to do with the pills. The company’s secretary, SO DAN-HUNG, acts as the model for the advertisement. She wears a bridal wear at the shooting. SHEK is fascinated by her charm. The advertisement needs someone to play a newlywed couple. They suggest YEE and CHI to play the part. CHUN can see that YEE and CHI like each other. He invites them out on Valentine’s Day with the excuse that it is his and his wife’s golden jubilee. LAI-SUM discovers that HAU has taken her photo. He admits he has fallen for her……

LAI-SUM tells HAU her love story with SUM so as to make him shrink back. SO, SUM and HANG learn that HAU’s friends are notorious for cheating women’s money. They therefore believe he is coveting LAI-SUM’s money. SUM feels that he does not care about LAI-SUM enough. He takes on a new image so that he can match up to her. LAI-SUM tells SUM she has sacked HAU. He tells her HAU is a sweetheart swindler. She is grateful she has not fallen into HAU’s trap. MIKAMI has learned about LEI and YEE’s past. For her happiness, he lets her go back to YEE. CHI and YEE are buying new clothes for the Valentine’s Day respectively. YEE tells her he is seeing someone important on the Valentine’s Day. That person turns out to be CHUN’s wife. LEI calls YEE round at Man Shui Tong. When they see each other, they cannot help kissing each other. YEE and LEI celebrate the Valentine’s Day together, whereas CHI spends a lonely evening at CHUN’s restaurant……

YEE confesses to LEI that he likes CHI. HAU reveals his identity as a mole to LAI-SUM. She promises to help him find Inspector CHAN’s missing gun. She recalls SUM has once brought a box of durians home. HAU follows her home. SUM sees them. He is certain they have an adulterous relationship. LAI-SUM finds the gun. In the meantime, SUM is home. He has brought home a toy gun with which he is going to suppress HAU, the adulterer. He grabs the real gun by mistake. When he is about to fire at HAU, LAI-SUM stops him before it is too late. SUM demands her to say she has never loved HAU; she cannot do it. SHEK makes an exhibition of himself when he is going out with HUNG. She is angry, and he ends up leaving on his own. She rushes to see him after she has heard about his story from CHUN. She is drunk. SHEK sends her home. MRS. KUK invites LEI to endorse her new product. LEI swears she will not let any another woman take YEE away……

CHI is fighting with LEI over YEE. LEI hangs around YEE. YEE hopes CHI will stop making things difficult for LEI. CHI gets a call from LEI. LEI tells her to take a document to a hotel where she and YEE are staying. CHI is furious. When YEE, SUM and SO show up, she realizes it is just another trick of LEI. LAI-SUM feels nauseous. The doctor says she has gastritis and that she is pregnant. The couple decide to keep this a secret for the time being. Later when they visit HANG, HANG and CHEUNG try hard to make them announce their goods news. It turns out that SIN has told their parents the news already. LEI is shooting for an advertisement by the pool. CHI has fallen into the pool. YEE jumps into the pool to save her. He is swimming towards her when LAI suddenly cries out that she has a cramp. So he goes to her direction instead. CHI turns to alcohol again. LEI has received a letter from YEE proposing to end their relationship……

The news comes as a blow to SUM and LAI-SUM. FA cheers them up. YEE and CHI discover by chance that HANG has cancer, and that she should receive chemotherapy as soon as possible. Whether the illness responds to the treatment depends very much on her will. HANG is willing to go for chemotherapy purely because she wants to see her grandchild. SUM and LAI-SUM therefore decide not to tell her the news. CHI finds LAI-SUM crying in the washroom. LAI-SUM tells her what has happened. LAI-SUM’s doctor walks past HANG’s room. HANG asks him how LAI-SUM’s baby is doing. LAI-SUM wants to tell her the truth but SUM stops her. SUM lies to his mother that the baby is a boy. HANG is glad, but LAI-SUM feels even more miserable. LAI-SUM blames SUM in tears. He is very sorry. They feel better after looking at the babies in the baby’s room.

YEE proposes to CHI; she agrees right away. YEE has a sperm test. The result shows that he has a low sperm count, which the doctor believes has to do with his having too much sex. CHI, SUM and LAI-SUM are both angry and disappointed. CHEUNG and HANG overhear YEE and CHI’s conversation. They are displeased that SUM and LAI-SUM did not tell them about the news. HANG faints. Her condition has turned from bad to worse, and she is beginning to lose the will to live, too. LAI-SUM tells SUM to find a mistress on the Mainland so that HANG can have a grandchild. He turns her down resolutely. In order to get pregnant, CHI suggests having one-night stands with other men. YEE will not let her. She moves on to suggest acting as a surrogate mother for LAI-SUM. Neither the couple nor YEE opposes to the idea. One year later. SO and SIN, SHEK and HUNG have all become parents……

CHI’s fetus is doing very well. She and YEE plan to return to Hong Kong for her delivery. HANG has cooked a big feast for the family union. CHI goes into labor suddenly. SUM, LAI-SUM and YEE are by her side during the whole process. HANG’s dream of having a grandchild has finally come true. Tired, she rests her head on CHEUNG’s shoulder. Worrying that she will never wake up again, he instills his strength to her body using the kung fu he has learned from swordsmen novels. But he pushes HANG on to the floor instead. The CHING family goes to see the baby. When they get to the baby’s room, they see Silk Stocking Maniac taking the baby away. They follow him to the roof. LAI-SUM and SUM manage to talk him into giving back the baby. In the nick of time, Silk Stocking Maniac misses his step and the baby is thrown up into the air. Can SUM and LAI-SUM save their beloved son?
