Bex's decision to take her relationship with boyfriend Ryan to the next step backfires, and somehow results in them breaking up. Things don't get much better at work when her boss, Charles, insists she find some prosthetic testicles for his newly neutered dog - just another task in a day's work for Bex. Finding herself suddenly single, Bex reluctantly agrees to go speed dating with her colleague Chris. Just as she's about to leave the flat, her dad Jack turns up unannounced to stay the night. Left alone, he overhears a strange answerphone message, and decides his daughter needs rescuing from the speed dating.

Bex returns home to find her father in a compromising position with a female friend. Meanwhile, Charles and Chris head off on a management weekend at a luxury hotel, only to find themselves roughing it in the woods.

Bex tells her cousin just what she thinks of her and everyone else during the speeches. Chris finds out that Jan has another job, in an upmarket shoe shop.

However, Fiona is not what Bex bargained for and things take a turn for the worse. In the office, Jan tries sucking up to Chris to get a pay rise, only to be annoyed by her suggestion to eat less and sell her hair.
