Mrs. Andersen must cope with the operation of the hotel alone, now that Mr. Andersen is in the hospital after the accident with the electricity, and it is quite a challenge for Molly Andersen, who has never had anything to do with the finances.

The End of the Season
Summer is coming to an end at the resort and guests are preparing for parting with the sweet holiday life. Fie is invited to stay for the winter, but is in doubt because of the relationship with Morten. Mrs. Fjeldsø makes a last desperate attempt to find a suitable match for her son Adam, while Weyse abandons his desperate hunt for Mrs Aurland and learns something new about women's psychology. Merchant Madsen sees through Count Ditmar, but still hopes that he will be his son-in-law. Everything is bright until Ditmar's tormentor suddenly shows up at the hotel and threatens to expose the young Count's past.
