Lakas belongs to the desert tribe in the Sansinukob. Learn the history of the people of the Taga-Disyerto and how it changed the life of Lakas, a warrior from the region. Lakas vows not to use his superior fighting skills for Dakim’s greed. Tragedy strikes when warriors from Taga-Kalakal tries to raid Taga-Disyerto. Lakas undertakes a brave move and warns people to "RUN!", but leads them the wrong way. As the desert dwellers fall into the trader army's trap, Lakas is left with no choice but to defend his tribe all by himself. Now fully aware of Lakas' unparalleled strength, Dakim forces the young warrior to serve him. The leaders of the desert dwellers give Lakas his first mission: to infiltrate the farming kingdom's impenetrable fortress. During his expedition, Lakas meets Ganda, a high-born from the land of the farmers.

Acknowledging Lakas' strength in combat, Ganda requests the warrior to train her people and help protect her prosperous kingdom from its enemies. Meanwhile, Dumakulem and Mayari attempt to stop a senseless war between Taga-Laot and Taga-Gubat. As chaos spreads across Sansinukob, the guardian deities Apo and Sarimaw grow concerned over the mortals’ abuse of freedom and bloodlust for power.
