However, KAR has made up her mind of going back to the states. On the other hand, ROCKY on knowing that PING has betrayed his father causing his death, decides to avenge on him. When he meets PING, it just happens that KAR is also around. KAR is then taken hostage by ROCKY who forces BILL to meet him. In the end, BILL saves KAR from ROCKY's hand. CHUEN blames CHEUNG for paying too much attention to FAN's case and let BILL crack down on SAN's case, reducing his chance of getting promoted. Unable to stand CHUEN's criticism, CHEUNG resigns. Nevertheless, after careful consideration, both 'CHUEN and CHEUNG Decide to forget the past and make up again.
