Although both BILL and KAR know that they are partly responsible for making their relationship turn sour, they both hold fast to their principle and do not take the initiative to reconcile with each other. After his quarrel with CHUEN, CHEUNG finds him always posing difficulty to his work, CHEUNG is also angry to find that SHAN shares the same opinion with CHUEN over FAN's case saying that he is too emotional and impulsive. However, KAR has made up her mind of going back to the states. On the other hand, ROCKY on knowing that PING has betrayed his father causing his death, decides to avenge on him. When he meets PING, it just happens that KAR is also around. KAR is then taken hostage by ROCKY who forces BILL to meet him. In the end, BILL saves KAR from ROCKY's hand. CHUEN blames CHEUNG for paying too much attention to FAN's case and let BILL crack down on SAN's case, reducing his chance of getting promoted. Unable to stand CHUEN's criticism, CHEUNG resigns. Nevertheless, after careful consideration, both 'CHUEN and CHEUNG Decide to forget the past and make up again.
