Happy Traveller Season 2, Episode 38: Pelion

Thessaloniki

Eftyhis takes the camera in his hand and explores in his unique way the beloved Thessaloniki. With good mood and smile shows us everything we need to see, do and try when we find ourselves in this beautiful city! He walks in Ladadika, at the port and Aristotle Square, takes a boat, rides a bike on the new beachfront, ascents to Kastra and walks in the alleys of the downtown! On this walk, Eftyhis will taste all kinds of local street food, as well as the traditional delicacies of the city in the best places to eat! Just to prove the reputation of Thessaloniki as the capital of good food in Greece but also because it is impossible not to gain weight if you visit the city.

Agio Oros & Ammouliani

Happy Traveller begins his journey from Metamorphosis in Chalkidiki, exploring the unique Mount Athos and the area northern to the mountain. Ormos Panagias is the next stop, where the boat ride begins. The view of Mount Athos from the boat is enchanting. We will learn why a small island, Ammouliani, deserves to be a great tourist choice.

Zakynthos

Eftyhis visits and presents one of the most famous islands in Greece! He walks in Bohali, St. Strani Hill and Agios Sostis among others. Also, the presentation of the beaches like Marathonisi, Banana, Keri, Blue Caves and the famous Navagio will make you feel that you are there too!

Kalamata & Messinia

Happy Traveller goes to Messinia and discovers its most beautiful places. He tastes top products and delicious local specialties! A unique road trip starts from the center of the city and then, continues to the wider area. We will see Pylos, Methoni, Finikounda and explore the immense beauty of Navarino Bay, Yalova and Voidokilia. It will be followed by some inland villages such as Polylofos where we will meet the great feast of figues! Next he visits Gargalianoi, Marathoupolis and finally Kyparissia!

Serres

A special road trip in Serres, together with Eftyhis' dog, Hercules. Starting from Amphipolis, it passes through the cave of Alistrati and heads to the city of Serres where he tastes top bougatsa and traditional akanes. Then, he heads towards the beautiful Lake Kekini where he's riding a horse and a boat watching 4000 flamingos!

Belgium

A road trip to medieval cities with admirable architecture and amazing street food! Eftyhis leaves nothing unexplored in Brussels, Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent and Waterloo! A unique road trip to the land of mussels and fried potato, waffle and chocolate! Happy Traveller goes abroad! The first of a series of traveling outside Greece.

Aridaia, Loutraki Pellas, Pozar Baths

Happy Traveller in Aridaia, Loutraki Pellas and Pozar Baths guided by Eftyhis and fellow traveler his sweet dog, Hercules! An absolutely naturalistic episode in which Eftyhis takes an autumn bath in the warm waters of Loutra, explores rivers, ravines, forests and caves, and eats local chestnuts as well as many other local delicacies! The road trip ends in Edessa and its impressive waterfalls.

Delphi, Amfissa, Galaxidi

Another unique naturalistic Happy Traveller, this time in the Municipality of Delphi! The road trip starts from Athens and after short stops in Arachova and Delphi, Eftyhis arrives in Amfissa for an evening walk in a city full of people, colors and flavors. The next day begins with action on the steep rocks of Fokida where Eftyhis tries his luck in climbing. He visits Chrisso, Itea and Galaxidi where he takes a fantastic boat ride to the beautiful islands of the area! Last stop is the picturesque Desfina.

Istanbul

Happy Traveller in Istanbul! The bridge between East and West, the only big city in the world that is divided into two continents! Happy Traveler is preparing to show us the streets, alleys, bridges and the most important sights of this unique city! A journey full of flavors, aromas and unique beauties! A hearty walk, local street food, Politiki cuisine and divine oriental sweets!

Paris

Happy Traveller in the City of Light, the magical Paris! The journey begins with a wandering of Eftyhis in Lille and Boulogne, at northern France. In Paris he visits the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Arc de Triomphe and all the classic places worth seeing if you go there. Eftyhis takes a Ferrari ride in the center of the city and climbs the craziest roller coasters of Disneyland Paris. He tastes french flavors such as Parisian street food, traditional sweets but also some more refined dishes of the french cuisine.

Prague

Prague is a unique destination that becomes even more magical through the visual eye of Happy Traveller! Walks in the old town, tastings of the most traditional Czech dishes, swords fights and fires in the sanctuaries of the city's underground as well as an excursion to one of the most picturesque villages in the country.

New York

Happy Traveller in New York! A unique episode in the city that never sleeps! Eftyhis explores America's most famous city by night. He guides us through all the hot spots in the city, visits the Statue of Liberty, rides a bike and has a picnic in Central Park, tastes classic street food and traditional New York dishes, reaches the top of Empire State Building and flies by helicopter over Manhattan.

Drama, Trikala, Thessaloniki

The Happy Traveller Christmas! Our Happy Traveller travels to festive places in Greece! Starting from the unique Drama and Dreamtown, Eftyhis walks around the Christmas Village and enjoys the warmth and the lights with the company of his dog, Hercules! Then they go to Trikala and the Mill of Elves, the most famous Christmas theme park in Thessaly. Last holiday stop is Thessaloniki. Eftyhis takes us for a walk in the city's festive alleys.

Asia Minor

Happy Traveller visits Asia Minor, to places with special beauty and history! He goes to Kusadasi and visits the ancient Ephesus. Also, he goes to Dikeli and explores ancient Pergamos. He wanders into traditional markets and tries amazing oriental delicacies! Trips are made by cruise ship which makes the route even more interesting and happy!

Kozani

Happy Traveller travels in Kozani, one of the most special and beautiful areas of Greece; the municipality of Servia - Velventos with the imposing bridge over the beautiful artificial lake of Polyphyto. Eftyhis explores all the beauties near the beautiful village of Neraida, the waterfalls of Velventos, the vast vineyards on the shores of the lake and the Byzantine castle of Servia and Boucharia-Nochtaria. He tastes local flavors, meet traditional dances from Pontos and finds a cauldron that makes tsipouro.

Grevena

Happy Traveller in snow! Happy Traveller in Vasilitsa and the prefecture of Grevena! A road trip to the mountains and villages of Pindos with unique landscapes, plenty of action and adventure! A tour of the picturesque bridges, the amazing rivers and the imposing forests with the alternative look of Happy Traveler. The city of Grevena, Perivoli and Avdela are some of the stops on his route to the ski resort of Vasilitsa where Happy Traveller has intense action with snowboard, snowmobile and games in the snow. At the end, Eftyhis enters a super-made 4X4 race to explore the most fraudulent paths of the area, ending up in the beautiful bridge of Portitsa.

Cyprus

Happy Traveller turns from side to side the beautiful Cyprus, where guides us in his unique way to the big cities and villages of this beautiful place! Starting from the beautiful coast of Paphos, to the famous Petra of Romios and the beach of Aphrodite. In Limassol, Eftyhis walks at the beach front and goes to the best adventure park of Cyprus for off road buggy! Other destinations of Happy Traveller in Cyprus are Larnaca, Nicosia, Paralimni, Deryneia, Palechori, Kakopetria as well as the Mount Troodos.

Bahrain

Happy Traveller goes to Bahrain! The tour of this small island of the Persian Gulf, includes everything worth seeing there. Visiting the Grand Mosque of the country brings us closer to the culture of the locals. Meeting local camels and visiting the spectacular Formula One track. Next stop at the Tree of Life, one of Bahrain's most important attractions. Eftyhis takes advantage of the warm weather for swimming in the sea. At the end, he visits the oil fields as well as the central market for a good dose of local traditional culture and...taste.

Arta

Happy Traveller in beautiful Arta! Eftyhis and his dog, Hercules, on route to Arta have a stop in Chani Terovou to taste a trout. Exploring Arta includes a walk through the city by visiting the most important attractions as well as make excursions to the surrounding area like the picturesque mountain Rodavgi, Koronisia, the spectacular Castle of The Roges and, of course, Arta with the imposing fortress and the famous bridge.

Budapest

Happy Traveller in Budapest! A journey through the imposing buildings, the history-filled castles, and the beautiful bridges that cross the Danube and connect Buda to Pest! He tastes traditional Hungarian flavors and has a winter bath in the famous thermal baths of the city!

Bratislava

Happy Traveler goes to the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava! The promenade by the Danube, the tour of the old town, the visit to the imposing Devin Castle will be unforgettable! Moreover, the UFO tower that dominates the bridge over the river, offers the best views of the city.

Vienna

Eftyhis travels to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, the city of Viennese coffee and classical music. He walks in the aristocratic center of Vienna and guides us through all its beautiful and historic buildings: the famous Opera House, St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Parliament. He tastes great pastries at the city's most historic café and goes on a day trip to the famous Wachau Valley, west of Vienna where he tastes some of the country's top wines. Finally, he visits small medieval villages on the banks of Danube and learns about the culture, flavors, and history of stately Vienna.

Bangkok

Happy Traveller in Bangkok, Thailand! He observes the imposing temples and huge skyscrapers. He wanders into huge outdoor and floating markets. He takes a ride with a tuk-tuk and an elephant, he goes boating and tries a lot of local Asian delicacies.

Phuket, Thailand

Happy Traveller travels to Phuket, Thailand! A heaven on earth full of palm trees, lacy shores, green islets, and famous Hollywood sets. He swims in the Maya Bay that became known from the film "The Beach" with Leonardo Di Caprio, and he walks on the rocks that Roger Moore walked as James Bond in the film "The Man with the Golden Gun ".

Pieria

Happy Traveller goes in beautiful Pieria and around Mount Olympus. Eftyhis starts from the castle of Platamonas, passing through the traditional settlement of the Old Panteleimon, to ends at one of the best wineries in the country on the south side of Olympus. The journey continues to Litochoro, the Enipeas gorge that leads to the magnificent waterfalls, the archaeological site in Dion, Makrygialo where it tastes local recipes with mussels and Katerini where it stays overnight. He visits the largest milk production company in Pieria, Elatochori and the well-known Indian village on the mountain, and Iraklis estate where Eftyhis is riding a horse and enjoying traditional recipes with local products in front of the fireplace.

Rome

Happy Traveller lands in Italy's capital, beautiful Rome. He walks through the large imposing Roman squares and observes historic buildings with a long history. He admires the magnificent Colosseum, throws a coin in the Fontana di Trevi and goes to the top of Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican. Between all these, he tastes Italy at its best: ice cream, coffee, pizza and, of course, pasta!

Happy Traveller travels in Ikaria. He turns the island of Icarus from side to side and feel the summer in the skin. He visits picturesque villages, dive into idyllic seas, discover beautiful natural landscapes and taste the best local delicacies!

Happy Traveller in Israel! Eftyhis starts his journey from Tel Aviv and ends up in Jerusalem where he will see both its old and the modern side. He explores all aspects of this ancient city and tastes local specialties.

Happy Traveller in Milan! Another trip to the beloved Italy to wander around the financial center of the country. He visits all the important sights of the city (the Cathedral, the Galeria Vittorio Emmanuelle, the La Scala of Milan and the Castle Sforza) tasting local delicacies!

Genoa & Italian Riviera

The journey to the north of Italy continues with a road trip to Genoa and the Italian Riviera. Eftyhis begins from Milan and goes south to Genoa, one of the most important ports in the country, and a city with a long history and tradition in shipping and good food. He tastes authentic Pesto Genovese, wanders around the old port, and visits the largest aquarium in Europe. The journey will continue in the Italian Riviera reaching the picturesque Portofino, one of the most beautiful seaside villages in Italy. There, in addition to the natural landscape and the colorful buildings of the village, he also enjoys authentic Italian pizza.

Maldives

Happy Traveller in one of the most exotic, idyllic, and heavenly countries in the world! We fly to Male, the capital of the Maldives, which is the smallest country in Asia, consisted of about 1200 islands. In Male we stay for one day to explore the city and visit the local markets while the next day we fly by seaplane and go to Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, an island hotel considered one of the best luxury resorts around the world. We will do all kinds of tourist activities, such as diving, rowing, water sports and laying on a hammock!

Sri Lanka part 1

Happy Traveller in Sri Lanka! A beautiful country with hospitable residents, great history, special cuisine, local products known all over the world, imposing temples, and amazing natural landscapes. The journey begins to Colombo, Sri Lanka's capital. After we drive to the center of the island where we will visit some of the most important historical sites of the country. Then we take a 4x4 safari to see free elephants in their natural environment as well as visit a spice garden where we will learn all about the well-known Ceylon spices.

Sri Lanka part 2

The last part of the trip in Sri Lanka includes amazing Buddhist monuments, traditional dance show and acquaintance with the famous Ceylon tea! On the return flight we stop in Istanbul and take a quick tour of the city!

Corfu part 1

Happy Traveller in Corfu! Our exploration on the beautiful island of Pheakes begins from the city of Corfu and after walking the whole downtown we will get in the car and go to the south part of the island. First stop is the beautiful Achillio and after we will move towards Lefkimmi.

Lesvos

Happy Traveller in Lesvos! We visit the mansion island of the Eastern Aegean and explore it from side to side. We will see the capital of the island of Mytilene, the beautiful Mithymna, the fairy-tale Skala Sykaminias, the Monastery of Taxiarches, the Petrified Forest, the picturesque Plomari with the famous ouzo and many other magical places in one of the most beautiful islands of Greece!

Corfu part 2

Happy Traveller continues the trip to Corfu with an exploration of the north side of the island. We will enjoy the view from the Kaiser observatory and climb to Pantokrator, the highest point of the island. We will eat pastitsado in Acharavi and explore the heavenly northern coasts, with stops at Canal d'Amour, the Drastis Cape and the unique Paleokastritsa from where we will see a dreamy sunset.

Pelion

Happy Traveller in Pelion! We travel to the green mountain of Centaurs and present to you its lesser known side on the beautiful eastern coasts bordering the Aegean Sea. Eftyhis starts the journey from Volos and continues visiting the beautiful villages of Pelion like Portaria, Milies, Zagora, Mouresi, Ai Giannis, Chorefto and Tsagarada. We visit the beautiful beach of Mylopotamos and walk to the Hidden School of Fakistra. Of course, we will not fail to try traditional recipes of the region.

Cruise in the Aegean Sea

A different super-summer Happy Traveller. We will go on a romance cruise in the Aegean Sea with Celestyal Cruises and we will get enough of the sun and the sea of the Greek islands. 10 different destinations in the most amazing summer episode we've ever had! Mykonos, Ios, Santorini, Samos, Kos, Milos, Syros, among others.
