Crete - Lasithi (Part 1)

In the episode we see the first destination they visited after the lifting of the restrictive measures: the beautiful Crete. In previous episodes, the Happy Traveler had visited the prefectures of Chania and Rethymnon, but now it sets sail for the eastern side of the island and more specifically the prefecture of Lasithi. In the first part, our travelers visit the capital of the prefecture, Agios Nikolaos, with its emblematic lake and picturesque harbor and climb the impressive Lasithi plateau. They stay in Elounda and explore the beautiful bay with its picturesque harbors, golden coasts and traditional villages. They go to historic Spinalonga and reach the tip of Aforesmenos cape to see one of the most isolated historic lighthouses in Greece.

Lassithi part 2

In the second part of the journey, our travelers see the Cha Gorge, Ierapetra and the surrounding area. They visit the island of Chrysi with the wonderful beach and the Mylonas waterfall. The journey to the prefecture of Lassithi continues around Sitia, with the impressive palm forest of Vai and the historic monastery of Toplou.

Faroe Islands part 1

Happy Traveller in the Faroe Islands! Eftyhis is taking his first trip abroad for this year, to one of the most isolated countries in Europe. The Faroe Islands archipelago, a country with 18 islands, is in the North Atlantic Ocean between Iceland, Scotland, and Norway. In the first part of the trip, he stays in a van, drives to fairy-tale landscapes, and sees amazing waterfalls and fjords.

Faroe Islands part 2

In the second part of his trip, Eftyhis visits the largest of the country's 18 islands and explores the capital Torshavn. Strolling through the picturesque harbor and observes the colorful buildings reminiscent of Copenhagen and the traditional wooden houses that house the government. He goes to one of the most picturesque villages in the region to see the oldest surviving Catholic temple in the Faroe Islands, which is also the oldest building in the country. The next day he visits Mykines, the westernmost island of Faroe. He walks in the fog to reach one of the most important lighthouses in the North Atlantic. Along the way he sees the beautiful puffins up close, since on the island there is one of the largest colonies in the world. Returning to the settlement of the island, he tastes traditional fish soup and meets one of the ten permanent residents to find out where the island got its name.

Faroe Islands part 3

On the third part of the journey to the isolated archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean, Eftyhis drives his van to the east and northern Faroe Islands, crosses bridges and gets on a ferry to Kalsoy Island. She walks through one of the country's few forests in Kunoy Park, sees incredible landscapes, picturesque villages and admires the Kopakonan, the beautiful statue of a seal-woman, accompanied by a dark legend.

Faroe Islands part 4

Eftyhis exploring the famous village Gjogv, which means gorge and took its name from its special natural port. He climbs an impressive ridge to see from above one of the country's most iconic fjords. He will admire the "Giant" and the "Witch", the two iconic rocks on the northern coast of the country and learn about the myth that connects these rocks with Iceland. Finally, he visits the double Waterfall Fossa which is also the largest in the country.

Mountainous Arcadia part 1

Eftyhis and Electra visit one of the most beautiful and historic areas of Greece, mountainous Arcadia. In the first part, they explore the picturesque villages of Stemnitsa and Dimitsana and stay in a heavenly place surrounded by the fir trees. They visit the Hydromobility Museum which is an important tourist attraction and make a stop in the village of Lagadia. They learn the history of the place and taste traditional flavors. They admire amazing forests, visit small churches, and discover steep slopes.

Mountainous Arcadia part 2

In the second part of the journey, they visit mountainous Vytina, the medieval Karytina, as well as the historic village of Limpovisi. They walk in the village where Theodoros Kolokotronis was origin of, enter the museum that has been built in his honor and rest for a while in the traditional café. They enjoy the natural beauties of the river Lousios, the gorge and the surrounding areas. Finally, they visit the Monastery of Timios Prodromos.

Northern Norway

Happy Traveller in Northern Norway, the northernmost part of Europe! Eftyhis passes through beautiful Norwegian landscapes and travels almost 1,500 kilometers in 48 hours, aiming to reach the famous northern cape. A route considered one of the top road trips in the world. He visits Tromso where the impressive Arctic Cathedral take place as well as the town of Alta with the famous carved 7,000-year-old cliffs. He drives to enchanting landscapes, passes amazing bridges, sees spectacular fjords, imposing waterfalls, strange beaches, picturesque villages, historical sights and temples, a dreamy sunrise and a fairy-tale sunset at Cape Nordkapp, the northernmost point of continental Europe.

Svalbard Archipelago

Eftyhis travels to a special destination. Happy Traveller arrives at the Svalbard Archipelago, the closest point to the North Pole the show has reached so far.

Kastoria

Eftyhis and Electra with their daughter, their dog, Hercules, and their equipment, get into a caravan and go to the town of furriers, Kastoria. Happy Traveller highlights the most important sights of Kastoria, the picturesque old town with its mansions, the lakeside settlement of Dispilio, the cave of Drakos, the top of Agios Athanasios as well as other idyllic locations of the wider region such as Nestorio and the forest of Mesopotamia. This week at Happy Traveler, Eftychis and Electra travel to the island of Aphrodite, the beloved Cyprus. Kefalonia (Part 1)

Elis (Part 1)
