Counsel YU YING-WAI, who represents a shipyard, raises to defend against the charge filed by a mainland tycoon LAW PO. The main contention of the lawsuit is that LAW PO ordered a custom-made yacht from the shipyard, however, he felt dissatisfied with the yacht upon its delivery and asked for a refund from the shipyard with the liquidated damages totaling HK$100 million. As such, the shipyard hired YING-WAI as their defense counsel to traverse the allegation. To their surprise, the plaintiff's counsel LEE MING-YEUNG remains silent in court, and the only words he says during the trial is to ask the judge for a lunch break. During the court adjournment, LAW PO blames MING-YEUNG, whereas MING-YEUNG instead claims it's a sure win, requesting a bonus from LAW PO. LO SUM-PO, a senior accomplished lawyer, is well-known for his expertise on probate cases, and LAW PO is also one of his clients. When MING-YEUNG raises to retrieve the prize money, SUM-PO says that the money must be held for one month under current legal process. In the end, MING-YEUNG has to get a high interest loan from the bank. With SUM-PO informing him of the death of LAW PO, YING-WAI comes up with a new strategy. YING-WAI and MING-YEUNG are both sent to hospital, simultaneously, both of them cannot help recalling their past with SZE-YING when they are unconscious. The hooligans of the Finance Company go to pick up MING-YEUNG at the hospital, where YIK-WO suddenly appears and promises to pay off all the debt for MING-YEUNG. SZE-YING often visits and takes care of YING-WAI, who hopes that they can get back together. MING-YEUNG goes to work at YIK-WO’s law firm as promised, and YIK-WO even arranges for his daughter YUET-KAN to team up with him and learn from him. Their first case is the litigation regarding the late CHUEN-FU’s legacy. Shortly after being discharged from the hospital, YING-WAI gets involved in a dispute with a taxi driver and ends up in the police station, making SZE-YING go to bail him out in person. KA-MING gets recruited by SUM-PO’s law firm, becoming a trainee solicitor. As soon as he gets there, he is burdened with the intensive work of itemizing the late CHUEN-FU’s legacy……

As YUE-FEI and the others trouble about the funeral preparation for the late CHUEN-FU, KA-YIU only cares about how to renovate the Sung Mansion. Eventually MING-YEUNG comes up with a plan to stop KA-YIU from doing so, as such, YUET-KAN is overwhelmed with appreciation. SUM-PO goes to seek YING-WAI’s assistance, only to find out that he suffers from post-stroke movement disorder. After many days of efforts, KA-MING finally finishes inventorying the domestic assets owned by the late CHUEN-FU, yet he discovers that the late CHUEN-FU also owned assets abroad. Fortunately, YING-WAI joins SUM-PO’s law firm, helping KA-MING out of trouble. Above that, he even raises to assist SUM-PO to deal with MING-YEUNG. KA-MING invites YING-WAI to dine at his mother’s restaurant, where YING-WAI accepts KA-MING as his pupil. Having learned that the presiding judge is SZE-YING, YING-WAI goes to have a word with her……

Having decided to represent the SUM-PO Solicitors in court, YING-WAI goes to consult his attending doctor, who points out that YING-WAI’s unclear enunciation stems from his own psychological barrier. On the day of the trial, YUET-KAN gives MING-YEUNG a ride to court. Unexpectedly, MING-YEUNG takes YUET-KAN to have coffee in a restaurant at the street corner, where he reveals the actual cause and effect to her. As soon as the trial starts, MING-YEUNG takes the initiative, suggesting that the Judge should remove administrator SUM-PO from his position, and make full disclosure of the third part of the will. Although YING-WAI attempts to refute, he cannot speak his mind freely because he has not fully resumed his verbal communication skills. YING-WAI then intends to summon KA-CHEUNG, who is autistic, but YUET-KAN stops YING-WAI from asking questions in order to protect KA-CHEUNG……

When YING-WAI, SUM-PO and the others are having dinner at the restaurant owned by KA-MING's mother, KA-MING receives a phone call from SIU-LO. KA-MING meets SIU-LO, learning that SIU-LO told her superior LINDA that she would like to change her career as a talent manager. But LINDA makes a counter-offer, asking KA-MING to be the legal counsel of their modeling agency. With the legacy of CHUEN-FU case getting underway again, MING-YEUNG points out that the late CHUEN-FU must not be in his right mind while making the will, above which he also summons a mainland doctor to testify. Having successfully turned the tide, MING-YEUNG is highly appreciated by the Sung family. In view of the great impression that KA-MING has for the scent of the medical pillow used by the late CHUEN-FU as treatment, YING-WAI intends to ask KA-MING to testify in court. SUM-PO himself goes to order food in the kitchen, where he chats with WING-TAI's younger brother CHEUNG-TAI, who is in charge of the kitchen. LAP-SUN, LINDA's frequent visitor, has a crush on SIU-LO, so he sometimes makes excuses to harass her. Running into KA-YIU, his acquaintance, LAP-SUN suggests developing the restaurant business together, and the two fit in with their plans right away……

YING-WAI tries very hard in private to practise dancing, hoping to catch SZE-YING's attention again, but he wears a wrong dance costume in the end. While feeling very upset, YING-WAI comes across a Thai Boxing coach, Master KONG, so he enrolls in a Thai Boxing training. With LAP-SUN's business development project being launched, CHEUNG-TAI notices that LAP-SUN plans to replace the charcoal oven with an electric one. Simultaneously, he loses control and is determined to forestall the launch of the project. In the wake of the statement announced in their late father's will, both brothers jointly inherit the restaurant and all the assets. As such, if CHEUNG-TAI objects, there will be no disposable capital for LAP-SUN to use. After summoning CHEUNG-TAI to testify, MING-YEUNG confirms that CHEUNG-TAI only knows how to run the kitchen, but knows nothing about the management of the restaurant business. Moreover, he even coerces CHEUNG-TAI to reveal the impact of his own marriage failure on himself. YING-WAI uncovers the fact that KA-MING is the counsel representing SIU-LO's modeling agency. At last, KA-MING is formally designated as the attorney on behalf of SIU-LO's modeling agency, seeking monetary damages aginst YING-WAI, who represents SUM-PO and LAP-SUN. As a result, KA-MING's ability gains SUM-PO's recognition, and then is allowed to practice law as one of the solicitors in his law firm. Before his retirement, LAI-YU was a University Professor, who is also KWOK-TUNG's biological father. Just recently he married NGA-LAI during their trip to an island country. LAI-YU suddenly has heart attack when giving NGA-LAI a ride and passes away shortly afterwards. Being LAI-YU's old friend, SUM-PO is also the executor of the late LAI-YU's will. After KWOK-TUNG and his two sisters hear the will, they refuse to accept that NGA-LAI is LAI-YU's wife. YUET-KAN notices that KA-YIU attempts to transfer KA-CHEUNG's living allowance into his own account, so she has a quarrel with KA-YIU. With NGA-LAI seeking MING-YEUNG's help, MING-YEUNG files a legal proceeding against SUM-PO's law firm, whereas YING-WAI makes up his mind to represent KWOK-TUNG. Quick-witted SIU-LO feels pretty annoyed after she discovers that YUET-KAN is actually KA-YIU's girlfriend……

Eventually, MING-YEUNG asks YUET-KAN to appear in court on his behalf. YUET-KAN raises some evidence to prove that the pair have got married, yet is refuted by YING-WAI. After summoning NGA-LAI, YING-WAI continuously doubts the relationship between her and LAI-YU. On top of that, he even reveals the relationship between her and MING-YEUNG, putting YUET-KAN at a distinct disadvantage. YUET-KAN, MING-YEUNG and NGA-LAI invite YING-WAI to meet them at LAI-YU's former residence, where they request YING-WAI to let NGA-LAI take the memoirs of the late LAI-YU. Having read the memoirs, YUET-KAN decides to appeal. Once again in the court room, YUET-KAN not only summons the late LAI-YU's three children, but also asks NGA-LAI to testify as well as revealing the memoirs. According to the memoirs, it is clear that the late LAI-YU experienced feelings of loneliness……

YUET-KAN discloses the photos that NGA-LAI and the late LAI-YU took during their trip to an island country. Finally, KWOK-TUNG and his sisters come to realise that they did not understand their late father's loneliness. MING-YEUNG and YUET-KAN are invited by KA-YIU to take a tour of a yacht, where they discover that KA-YIU intends to apply the funds from the committee of the administration to buy a yacht as an investment. Having heard this, YUET-KAN flies into a rage and has a quarrel with KA-YIU. In order to save a model, SIU-LO risks her own safety and goes to a bar. In a nick of time, she has a narrow escape with KA-YIU's help. YUET-KAN learns from MING-YEUNG that the yacht is actually the gift that KA-YIU is going to give to her, so she goes to the pier to apologize. However, there she sees KA-YIU and SIU-LO sleeping together. KA-MING sends text messages to SIU-LO, but SIU-LO has not replied after a long time……

When meeting MING-YEUNG, NGA-LAI suggests using the late LAI-YU's assets to buy a property for a social enterprise, setting up a center for disabled persons. The one who wants to sell the property to NGA-LAI is a triad leader called STURGEON who is older in age, but younger triad member CHI-HUNG disagrees with STURGEON, above which he has been scheming to take over STURGEON's position in the triad. STURGEON meets up with his old friend SUM-PO, trying to ask SUM-PO to prepare a will for him. YING-WAI sees that KA-MING sends a text message to SIU-LO, so he tells KA-MING to prepare the will for STURGEON. In the middle of the competition, KWOK-TUNG suddenly quits and takes SZE-YING away with him. On top of that, he reveals his affection for her……

KA-YIU gets acquainted with CHI-HUNG while hanging out in a pub, and is tempted into trying some drugs by the latter. With SUM-PO relaying STURGEON's sudden death to KA-MING and YING-WAI, everybody from the law firm goes to STURGEON's home to help itemize the assets of the deceased, during which Uncle FO, STURGEON's sidekick, secretly hands them the keepsake of the society "Dragon Visiting the Sea", telling them to take it away with them. CHI-HUNG then takes all his henchmen to besiege the law firm, urging SUM-PO to hand over the keepsake. In the end, KA-MING has no choice but to receive CHI-HUNG. While KA-YIU is taking drugs in CHI-HUNG's pub, Sir MA and other police officers show up all of a sudden. Resisting arrest, KA-YIU calls MING-YEUNG for help. Later on, KA-YIU introduces MING-YEUNG to CHI-HUNG……

After CHI-HUNG sends a short video to YIK-WO's law firm showing KA-YIU taking drugs, YIK-WO gets so nervous that he goes to have a word with MING-YEUNG. YIK-WO on his own asks YUET-KAN to play golf with him, and YUET-KAN cannot help revealing the truth, which shocks YIK-WO so much. For KA-YIU's sake, YIK-WO has no alternative but to assign MING-YEUNG to represent CHI-HUNG in court, trying to take back the keepsake "Dragon Visiting the Sea". Having summoned Uncle FO, MING-YEUNG specifically asks CHI-HUNG to appear in court. Moreover, he even glorifies CHI-HUNG's illegal conducts, saying they were just charity movements to serve the community at large. All of a sudden, it seems that MING-YEUNG has an advantage. CHI-HUNG wants MING-YEUNG to continue to work with him, but is turned down by MING-YEUNG……

YING-WAI asks CHI-HUNG to appear in court, pointing out that he knows nothing about the history of the society and the keepsake. After SZE-YING announces the judgment, CHI-HUNG coerces his henchmen to kick up a fuss about it. In view of such chaos, YING-WAI worries about SZE-YING so he tells her to leave the court room immediately. Having noticed that YING-WAI cares about SZE-YING very much, CHI-HUNG comes up with another plot. He then extorts YING-WAI with SZE-YING's life. In fact, SZE-YING is in danger. SZE-YING and KWOK-TUNG bump into the henchmen of CHI-HUNG when dining out, though KWOK-TUNG tries to save SZE-YING, he is beaten up instead. MING-YEUNG goes to negotiate with CHI-HUNG, who asks for compensation worth HK$2 million. When YING-WAI shows up to deal with CHI-HUNG, he even requests YING-WAI to steal the keepsake "Dragon Visiting the Sea"……

CHI-HUNG attempts to put them to death, fortunately, MING-YEUNG and YING-WAI join forces with each other, successfully reversing the situation. Both of them are sent to hospital and end up in the same ward. When SZE-YING goes to visit YING-WAI, MING-YEUNG, in order to help YING-WAI, exaggerates his injuries, making SZE-YING feel deeply distressed. To return the favour, YING-WAI also exaggerates MING-YEUNG's injuries while YUET-KAN pays a visit. Once both of them have recovered and are ready to be discharged from the hospital, YING-WAI tells KA-MING to inform SZE-YING about it. On his way to leave the hospital, MING-YEUNG runs into KWOK-TUNG, from whom he learns that SZE-YING comes to pick up KWOK-TUNG and to also take YING-WAI with them. On the other hand, having encountered SZE-YING, MING-YEUNG feels resentful that YING-WAI has been treated unfairly, so he blames SZE-YING for that……

KA-YIU goes to YIK-WO's law firm to attend a meeting, ahead of which he attempts to molest YUET-KAN, fortunately MING-YEUNG stops him from doing so. During the meeting, KA-YIU demands YIK-WO to dismiss MING-YEUNG, so YIK-WO cannot help revealing all of KA-YIU's malevolent deeds to YUE-FEI. YUE-FEI suggests that YIK-WO could just name the price as his attorney fee to settle the SUNG family saga. Feeling pretty awkward, YIK-WO lets MING-YEUNG make the judgment call. KA-YIU becomes more and more addicted to the drugs, causing YUE-FEI and KA-CHEUNG to worry about him. YUE-FEI goes to pay tribute to the late CHUEN-FU at his tomb with KA-CHEUNG, who encounters SHUK-HING on his way back to retrieve his handiwork. Going to SUM-PO's law firm, NGA-LAI proposes establishing the Lai Yu Center by using the late LAI-YU's assets. At SZE-YING's invitation, YING-WAI goes to meet up with officials from the Department of Justice……

With KA-MING volunteering to arrange the opening ceremony for NGA-LAI, YING-WAI learns that SZE-YING will be their guest host on the opening day, which happens to be the anniversary day when SZE-YING is officially appointed to be a judge. At the opening ceremony, SHUK-HING is assisting in catering arrangements, and she re-encounters KA-CHEUNG, who is a student representative. While SZE-YING makes a speech as one of the late LAI-YU's students, all of a sudden, YING-WAI appears. KA-YIU deceives his doctor so as to trick YUE-FEI into letting him out to find a new drug dealer. After learning that the models who work for SIU-LO are in financial difficulties, the drug dealer tells them to please KA-YIU. KA-MING tries to woo SIU-LO but in vain. Having seen this, SUM-PO cannot help but teach KA-MING some strategies himself. SIU-LO goes to have a word with KA-YIU after she finds out that the models are beaten up by KA-YIU……

SIU-LO shows up when the models go to meet KA-YIU again. Having arranged the models to wait downstairs, SIU-LO stays there alone so as to receive a cheque from KA-YIU, but is instead raped by the latter. Seeing that KA-YIU is arrested by the police, YUE-FEI goes to YIK-WO's law firm to seek assistance, above which she offers them a cheque worth HK$100 million. Having bailed him out, YIK-WO takes KA-YIU to meet YUE-FEI in secret, during which he forces KA-YIU to reveal all the truth to YUE-FEI. YING-WAI goes to find MING-YEUNG and YUET-KAN in a restaurant, where he reveals to them that SIU-LO was raped. Therefore, MING-YEUNG and YUET-KAN expressly tell YIK-WO that they will not take part in the case involving the alleged rape suspect KA-YIU, which greatly annoys YIK-WO……

YING-WAI feels compelled to be the prosecutor of the alleged rape case, upholding the justice. Initially, YIK-WO thought that the DPP would rescind the charge against KA-YIU. So when he receives a notice of intended prosecution from the police, YIK-WO cannot help feeling upset. He suddenly becomes very short-tempered, and also requests YUET-KAN and MING-YEUNG to cancel their plan of going abroad and stay in Hong Kong. YING-WAI meets up with MING-YEUNG, who promises him that he will not get involved in the case to abet the villain. On the trial day, representing KA-YIU as his defense counsel, YIK-WO brings forth an argument which successfully defeats the police. YING-WAI cannot help thinking pessimistically as YIK-WO seems to have won the advantage in the case. After the court adjourned, YUET-KAN has lunch with YIK-WO, and she is very dissatisfied when she is asked to make public her break-up with KA-YIU……

Thinking it's a sure-win case, YIK-WO approaches YING-WAI and suggests suspending the trial, but YING-WAI and SIU-LO are determined to fight to the end. With SIU-LO recalling that she called KA-MING for help, YING-WAI is now on the scent of something really important. YING-WAI then raises new evidence, yet is once again proven wrong by the documents that YIK-WO submits. Making a last-minute, impromptu decision, YING-WAI applies to the judge on behalf of the prosecutor, asking for more time to gather relevant evidence. As the due date is near, YING-WAI decides to take a risk. By using Hypnosis as a therapeutic tool, YING-WAI attempts to bring back the memory that SIU-LO had of the night she was raped by KA-YIU. Due to his last-minute failure, YIK-WO suffers a stroke in the court room and lapses into a coma, so the trial has to be adjourned……

As soon as he appears in court on behalf of YIK-WO, MING-YEUNG immediately summons the models, who were waiting for SIU-LO downstairs at that night, to make testimony. In order to prove KA-YIU's drug addiction, YING-WAI then summons Sir MA as well as KA-YIU's attending doctor to testify in the court room, but to no avail. In the end, KA-YIU is found not guilty on the rape charge. As such, YUE-FEI decides to re-assign YIK-WO as the legal counsel of the Sung Family. Having learned the truth, YUE-FEI bursts into tears, but YIK-WO asks her to keep the secret for KA-YIU. YIK-WO intends to let MING-YEUNG take over the job with regard to the Sung Family. Feeling overwhelmed and stressed out, MING-YEUNG goes to work off his anger at Muay Thai class, where he runs into YING-WAI. YIK-WO instructs KA-YIU to provoke SUM-PO, whereas YUE-FEI, together with other committee members, request SUM-PO to step down as the administrator of the legacy……

Having encountered YUE-FEI, SHUK-HING worries that YUE-FEI might uncover her real identity. On the other hand, SUM-PO also worries that he would have to reveal the third part of the will once he is forced to step down. Although he knows perfectly well that the chances of winning the case are slim, YING-WAI is determined to confront YIK-WO in court. Following the verdict returned by Judge SZE-YING that the party represented by YIK-WO wins the lawsuit, SUM-PO lets YING-WAI view the third part of the late CHUEN-FU's will before it is taken over by YIK-WO. After YIK-WO receives the will, KA-YIU tries to view it but is stopped by YIK-WO. Until YUE-FEI drives away KA-YIU, YIK-WO reveals to her that the late CHUEN-FU was having an affair. YIK-WO also passes the third part of the will to MING-YEUNG, who decides to file a lawsuit against SUM-PO's law firm after reading through the pages……

Attempting to prove that KA-MING and SHUK-HING do not covet the late CHUEN-FU's estate, YING-WAI asks them to appear in court and make testimony. However, MING-YEUNG instead questions SUM-PO, accusing him for perverting the course of justice as he has already known the truth. Eventually, SZE-YING announces that the will shall be void. After the court adjourned, SHUK-HING comes across YUE-FEI in the ladies' washroom, where she is slapped on the face by the latter. When KA-MING is almost killed by KA-YIU, in the nick of time, KA-CHEUNG appears from behind and stops KA-YIU. YIK-WO is very depressed after being dismissed by YUE-FEI. All of a sudden, he receives a phone call so he leaves his residence in a hurry. In front of CHUEN-FU's tomb, KA-MING is awakened from unconsciousness at the sound of the phone ringing, and surprisingly finds out that KA-YIU is lying dead beside him. The body is noticed by a hiker, who immediately informs the police. The police arrest KA-MING after identifying him as the suspect in connection with the alleged murder of KA-YIU. After YING-WAI rushes there to help KA-MING give a statement to the police, KA-MING only recalls that he was under attacked by KA-YIU and later is rescued by someone else. Accompanied by YIK-WO, YUE-FEI goes to identify the body at the police station, where YUET-KAN and MING-YEUNG offer to help, but is rejected……

YING-WAI intends to summon KA-CHEUNG to testify on the trial day, whereas YIK-WO and YUE-FEI worry that KA-CHEUNG might reveal everything in court, so they decide to take initiative to pressure KA-CHEUNG. During the hearing, the prosecutor indicates that all the evidence points to KA-MING. Yet YING-WAI points out that KA-CHEUNG was also at the crime scene, so he asks KA-CHEUNG to appear in court. KA-CHEUNG goes to pieces after showing up in the court room. In view of this, MING-YEUNG senses there might be a conspiracy behind this. YIK-WO calls in MING-YEUNG, asking him to handle the litigation with regard to the late CHUEN-FU's estate. At the hearing on the probate case with regard to the late CHUEN-FU’s legacy, MING-YEUNG fails to submit KA-YIU’s DNA report, and is therefore pushed to the edge by YING-WAI. Although MING-YEUNG uses KA-YIU’s death as an excuse, YING-WAI insists that he should take some sample from KA-YIU’s body for examination on the grounds of the huge estate that is involved. However, the remains of KA-YIU have already been cremated under YIK-WO’s instruction before his official funeral. It turns out that YING-WAI has already foreseen that, and submits a report to the court right away. Thinking that the truth will be made public soon, YUE-FEI is terrified out of her wits. Ahead of the disclosure of the report, YING-WAI lets SZE-YING review it first. Having read through the details, SZE-YING considers it a serious matter, so she adjourns the hearing shortly afterwards, and calls up a closed-door meeting with MING-YEUNG and YING-WAI……
