LIN is leaving Hong Kong, which is supported by BING. Not knowing that CHUNG is working for KWAN, PO continues to supply him with information about KWAN. YAM does not want to see LIN go but lacks the courage to tell her so. Realizing that LIN is still in love with YAM, SIN seeks to provide the pair with some good opportunities to spend time together. KWAN sets a trap for YAM by tricking him into believing that PO and LAM are going to have a negotiation. KWAN tries to make YAM a scapegoat after killing LAM. To keep his reputation up, TAI has decided to take the registration examination. CHUNG comes to see TAI, who is busy preparing for the examination. YAM is arrested and K Y WONG pressures SUM to release him. LOK and CHU plan to escape. Before they leave, CHU calls SIN up to say goodbye. CHUNG blames SIN for not having tried to hold the phone conversation and allow him the chance to trace the call. SIN not only manages to keep her temper but also gives CHUNG a few words of comfort and encouragement. PO tries to look out for LIN in every possible way, which makes JANET extremely jealous. PO is surprised to discover that someone has been making deals with KUPCHAI in his name. He therefore orders KWAN and TSUN to carry out a full investigation. As soon as YAM has got the password, CHUNG comes along. CHUNG manages to conceal YAM’s real identity as an undercover police officer but is later accused of trespassing on private property. As a sort of punishment, CHUNG is assigned to deal with the most trivial cases. PO has introduced a more advanced computer security system. PO and JANET hold a wedding banquet for themselves. To seek revenge, LIN gets all dressed up for the banquet, managing to get all the attention. This has made JANET incredibly jealous. YAM tries to console LIN and takes her for a walk, during which he discovers that he has developed a special affection for her. LOK has disappeared without a trace. SIN is so worried about him and turns to CHUNG for help. CHUNG has successfully located LOK. As a token of thanks, SIN has prepared a meal for CHUNG. KWAN has come up with some evidence to prove that YAM is an undercover police officer. He tries to make YAM reveal the truth by threatening to kill CHUNG. YAM has no choice but to tell the truth. Feeling cheated, LIN has lost her confidence in YAM and is resolved to separate from him. Having lost everything, PO is so hopeless and tries to take his life by jumping in the sea. PO is rescued and later diagnosed as having panic disorder. On their way to meet LOK, SIN and CHUNG get attacked by KWAN. KWAN reveals to SIN that CHUNG has been working for him all these days, which disappoints her greatly. To win KWAN’s trust, CHUNG has no choice but to kill SIN, as instructed by KWAN. CHUNG goes to see LIN at the pub in order to investigate SIN’s disappearance, as if he has nothing to do with the matter. YAM falls out with CHUNG again as soon as he catches sight of him. KWAN kidnaps LIN and forces CHUNG to rob the munitions warehouse by threatening to kill her. To keep his reputation clean, CHUNG suggests leaving the job to YAM, which is agreed by KWAN. KWAN finds out that there is something wrong with the munitions. Suddenly, CHUNG takes out a pistol and points it at KWAN. Knowing that it is in fact a trap set by CHUNG, KWAN gets to flee at once and CHUNG, together with the police officers, runs after him without hesitation. A horrible gunfight has then started. KWAN and KUPCHAI are both arrested. YAM asks KWAN about LIN’s whereabouts and KWAN says that he has kept her in a secret place and that the bomb around her waist is about to blow up. YAM manages to save LIN just before the bomb explodes. YAM and CHUNG go to visit LIN at the hospital. LIN is surprised to see them together and the guys reveal the truth to her right away. CHUNG explains that he pretended to fall out with YAM and purported to have killed SIN, which was only for the purpose of winning KWAN’s trust.
