Countryside garden
This garden is as distinctive as its owners. The atmosphere of the courtyard, enclosed between old walls, inspired Ferdinand Leffler and his colleagues from the Flera studio to create a magical place that inspires and relaxes. The garden includes a studio, a gallery, seating around a fireplace, a sauna and a wooden pergola. Informal perennial beds "like grandma's" underline the genius loci of the place.

The garden in the landscape and its natural integration into the quiet village character. A composition where on the one hand we long for complete privacy, seclusion from the neighbours, but hope to imprint on the garden the atmosphere of freedom and naturalness that the surrounding nature breathes on us. "For me, garden architecture is very much a person. I like to listen to people as they live. And I try to spot what they're missing. Whether in the garden or in life. Sometimes they're looking for peace, balance, sometimes adventure. Whatever it is, the garden can be very helpful," says presenter and landscape architect Ferdinand Leffler. The Rest Garden episode is therefore also entirely dedicated to helping the children's respite hospice Klíček in the small Central Bohemian village of Malejovice. Together with the children and their loved ones, part of the large garden will be transformed.

Palace Garden
The functionalist Villa Tugendhat in Brno is on the UNESCO list of Czech monuments. But do you know who is behind the reconstruction of the adjacent plot? The couple and garden architects Kamila and Přemysl Krejčiřík specialize in restoring gardens at historic buildings. They will guide us through the transformation of a private green kingdom hidden away in a secluded spot in the Orlické Mountains. Little and big princesses and their knights will appreciate the romantic atmosphere of centuries-old trees, rhododendron beds and newly planted perennial carpets. For inspiration, the presenter Ferdinand Leffler will also visit the nearby city of Prague, where a centuries-old Art Nouveau villa and contemporary art coexist in a pleasant harmonious union.
