ELLA has become even more arrogant and self-important following her success. One by one, her friends deserts her. ELLA is overwhelmed by the sense of isolation and helplessness, comforted only by LUNG, who has stuck by her side. Moved by his love, ELLA returns his affections, but asks him to say nothing about their relationship because she does not want it to interfere with her career.
