TONG’s uncle LUNG helps TUNG to look after the business at the beach whilst there are six sisters playing at the beach. Suddenly, someone is drowned; hence, LUNG jumps into the water and tries to save the girl. Unfortunately, he suffers a strain in his leg and faints. The next day, he is found naked, in the gap of a big stone. Everyone suspect the 7 sworn sisters did it. TONG begs KUEN to let go of his relatives when KUEN heard about the incident; she denies that she did it. TONG and CHARM finally moved by KUEN and agree to help her searching the reply letter. Just when TONG takes out the unknown letter to KUEN, Kuen begins to talk about SIN again. Although KUEN’s family insulted SIN, he didn’t give up and set off to Guangzhou to look for better prospect. It was because SIN misses KUEN too much and could not concentrate his composition of music. With the encourage of KUEN, SIN composed the masterpiece ‘Journey of Sorrow’ at last. SIN thought that he will be accepted by KUEN’s family after he became famous. But things happened against his will, her father locked up KUEN and sued SIN for kidnapping her. LUNG was beaten because of hiring prostitute. When he talks about the incident, TONG discovers the trace of the 6 sworn sisters. TONG and CHARM think out a trick to make them confess how they betrayed KUEN, they failed and were beaten by the 6 sworn sisters instead……

In spite of the 6 sworn sisters refuse to take up the responsibility, TONG and CHARM success to force FUN to admits they betrayed KUEN. Originally, SIN appointed FUN to bring his reply letter to KUEN on behalf of him, however, in avoid of springing into trouble, the 6 sworn sisters decided to send the letter by mail. Unfortunately, because of the incorrect address, the letter never reaches KUEN’s hand and made the two lovers regret for the rest of their lives. YUEN and PING meet CHEONG at a restaurant; PING intentionally arranges opportunity for CHEONG to spend time with YUEN alone. CHEONG subconsciously kisses YUEN, which scared YUEN to run home immediately. CHEONG and PING, therefore, have to try many ways to get YUEN’s forgiveness. KUEN lives with the 6 sworn sisters temporarily; CHARM buys her lot of electrical appliances but KUEN refuses to accept, on the other hand, made FUN and others very happy……

TONG, FUN and others question CHARM about SIN, CHARM utters with excuse and runs home. Though KUEN pleads CHARM many times, CHARM still keeps silence. TING is very pleased whilst JANE feels bitter. LING breaks PING’s fan carelessly which gave PING an excuse to scold TONG severely. In order to settle the dispute, TONG has to borrow money from CHARM to buy a new fan. PING helps CHEONG to evolve the relationship with YUEN, YUEN finally listens to his sweet talk and visit CHEONG’s apartment. CHEONG sends away his mother and his smaller brother & sister deliberately and gets drunk in order to obtain the sympathy of YUEN. He is very disappointed because his plan failed when his mother arrived home early.

JANE reports CHARM’s daily life to TING including she gets along with TONG closely. TING is discontented. CHARM cannot think of any idea for her campaign, so she seeks for TONG’s assistance. TONG finally agrees to help CHARM when she burst into tears. JANE comes home with sergeant, Lam to catch KUEN, hence, KUEN hides herself in CHARM’s room. CHARM thinks that KUEN has escaped to FUN’s apartment, however, they haven’t seen KUEN’s arrival but suspect KUEN is still in TING’s house. TUNG steals PING’s money to help TONG but failed. PING insists to bring the case to the police station. CHEONG pretends to be very caring and settles the case for PING, whose impressed YUEN. PING embarrasses CHARM when she goes to make up with TONG. CHARM feels guilty for making TONG unemployed and starts to cry. TONG understands her sorrow and comforts her instead. Since Tong doesn’t have enough money, he brings along all the precious things in order to ask the butcher to release them. CHARM is moved. CHARM has to stay home a month for studying as punishment. JANE goes to the temple for joss stick, the fortune teller said that she has to share her husband with another woman. FUN meets KUEN in the street, knowing KUEN didn’t go to reincarnate. KUEN is threatened by the statue of ‘God of righteous’, her spirit enters into FUN’s body and cannot come out. TONG doubts that CHARM has forgot him, so he is unhappy. Suddenly, CHARM sneaks back to visit TONG; the two lovers enjoy a great time despite a short time apart. KUEN inspires that SIN will come across a traffic accident. She follows SIN and JANE in order to protect him. SIN hears a voice to remind him slow down when he is driving. Suddenly, there is a landslide, SIN crashes his head over the driver seat and peels back layers of KUEN’s memories. SIN cries out KUEN’s name when he wakes up which arise JANE’s concern. PING tells TONG about CHEONG’s indecent act and they decide to bring YUEN home. CHOENG reacts with madness and exposes the secret of YUEN that makes YUEN feels embarrass. He punches TONG and starts a fight. YUEN tries to help TONG and is hurt. She is then sent to the hospital. CHARM and TING visit the restaurant, on their way, they heard rumors about TONG, which made TING very disappointed. CHARM realizes YUEN was sent to the hospital, she goes to visit her at once. SIN peels back layers of memories occasionally, which makes him deeply sympathies KUEN. KWAN advises JANE that KUEN will be vanished if SIN burned her wooden gravestone, so she begins to plot a plan. At last, TONG explains about the incident of YUEN and tells CHARM that he still hasn’t opened the letter she wrote. Knowing that TONG didn’t reject herself. CHARM is released. TONG feels sweet at heart when he read CHARM’s letter. He goes back to the restaurant and rings CHARM. LING and LUNG find TONG is very suspicious and follows him. Because of worries, SIN finds KUEN to discuss about JANE. KUEN is upset when she learnt that SIN cares about JANE so much. In order to damage KUEN’s affection to SIN, JANE hurts herself and impeaches KUEN again. SIN doubts and still rejects to burn KUEN’s wooden gravestones, JANE is furious when her plan was ineffective again. JANE falls off from the staircase and says that she was pushed by KUEN. TING frightens KUEN will hurt the baby so he orders SIN to burn KUEN’s wooden gravestone. SIN cheats KUEN to enter the gravestones and throws it into the fire unwillingly. YUNG and WAN are glad to see their plan is succeed at the end. Just when they left, SIN hurries to stop the fire and saved KUEN. SIN regrets for what he has done. TONG cannot withstand CHARM is being scolded by the guests in the restaurant, hence, discloses their relationship.

CHAR is pleased that TONG announced their relationship. Meanwhile, SIN discovers that the pregnancy of JANE is fake. SIN is angry and quarrels with JANE, furthermore, he decides to set off to Guangzhou for a while. WAN accompanies with a group of people to find TONG at the restaurant and asks TONG to settle his debts. TONG finds out CHARM has cheated him for the horse-racing fortune and feels humiliated. In order to settle the debts, TONG works very hard. But he still cannot forgive CHARM and treats CHARM coldly when he saw her at her house. CHARM is heart-broken. KUEN takes SIN to the old opera house; SIN remembers how he composed the music and eager to compose a new song for KUEN. SIN is tightened by YUNG, therefore, KUEN begs JANE to let them see each other. SIN escapes to the old opera house again; on the other hand, YUNG set a fire at the opera house in order to kill KUEN. The opera house is on fire when JANE knows that SIN was in there. SIN faints unconsciously but KUEN saves him with her last breath. SIN watches the spirit of KUEN vanished. Despite the danger, JANE wraps herself in a blanket and goes into the fire to search SIN. She finally finds him but in coma already.

The injury of SIN is serious; he cries out the dead one’s names unconsciously. JANE worries to lose SIN, she continue to sing the songs composed by SIN in sob. Whilst, KUEN appears and sings with JANE in order to waken SIN. SIN awakes at last. JANE appreciates the assistance of KUEN and KUEN’s spirit vanished in the rainbow at the end. Everyone gathers at SIN’s house to participate a ceremony for KUEN, JANE recognizes her as SIN’s wife at last. SIN decides to learn opera at Guangzhou whilst JANE and WAN are pleased to accompany. CHARM is sad to know that TONG works so hard and unhappily. She pretends ill to arise TONG’s attention and takes her home. But TING is finding her trick. Everyone wants to cheer up TONG but he refuses all kindness. TING provokes TONG at his restaurant but TONG misunderstands that Ting is asking him to settle the debts. In fact, Ting wants to encourage TONG to reconcile wit CHARM and release himself.

With the support and encouragement of TONG, Charm agrees to have body check and finds out that she is suffering from carcinoma-hepatitis. TONG reads all the books in the library to seek for the indication for carcinoma-hepatitis. And, he determines to help HCARM in fighting against her sickness. His determination and love move CHARM. CHARM is so excited and happy, hence, mixes her pleasure in pain. Aware the relationships have been growing between TIG and LING, LUNG and FUN respectively. TONG and CHARM arrange opportunities for them to spend alone. CHARM faints suddenly and the party calls off. When CHARM wakes up, TING blames her for hiding her health condition. CHARM tells her worry to TONG, scaring that hey will be apart because of her illness. TONG feels distress and sorrow; he embraces CHARM tightly to comfort her……

CHARM knows that she has to overcome a long period of suffering. TONG catches a fire at the restaurant because of his carelessness. Fortunately, no one injured. The surgery of CHARM is very successful but she still has to undertake a long period of medical treatment. Maybe because of the limited power to help CHARM, TONG feels upset and despair. CHARM is thrill when the patient next to her died. She is disheartened and begins to give up herself. She locks herself up and refuses to take the doze. TONG sneaks into her room and tries to convince her. CHARM explodes her temper on TONG, which makes TONG heart-broken.

CHARM doesn’t want her weak and tiring look to be seen by TONG, she requests TONG to leave Hong Kong. Otherwise, she would not continue the medical treatment. TONG realizes he has limited power and cannot share the pain of CHARM, he agrees to leave reluctantly. CHARM confesses in a church, she becomes optimistic after talking to the priest. She rushes to the train station to stop Tong broads the train. TONG is released when he saw CHARM became optimistic again. They get married happily at last. On their wedding night, they share everything from the bottom of their hearts; the moment is sweet and splendid. CHARM died two years later, TONG doesn’t give up but lives fruitfully. LING & TIG also gets married and help TING to manage the business. On the other hand, LUNG always quarrels with FUN and needed the 5 sworn sisters to intercede. One day, TONG receives a letter from CHARM that makes TONG wonders if CHARM is still alive.
