MAN MIN begins his friendship with CHING LAM, the daughter of LOK TIN HANG, division head of Chau Shan School. At the same time, she is wooed by LAU LING, disciple of Virtuous Women's School‧ WING WING is abducted by a plain clothes man who has mistaken her to be the daughter of HAN HUNG. WING's parents FIVE POISON and FIVE GOBLIN come in time for her rescue. They urge her to go home and agree to give her five more days for helping MAN and MIN in their revenge. CHUN TO steals the jade of MOK YING and set off on revenge trip to get HAN HUNG. However, she is killed by LEE SAU and her jade taken away. MAN and KAU follow the plain clothes man in the hope to find out their birth secrets. They come across HUNG PA and CHING LAM who are searching for the script. The two brothers come to become good friends of Zen master YUP TING who find them unworldly and ingenuous. One day, they ‧eat in a tea house. Not knowing that they have to pay for their food, they are being nagged by the shop owner, and only get themselves out of trouble with the help of LAU YAT KWUN. Nevertheless, they are by now rather disillusioned with the human world. Not knowing how to get money, they steal food in the market and are chased by a hawker. MAN and KAU follow the plain clothes man to a hut thinking that their birth secrets will be made known. To their shock, there are only dead bodies lying around the place. It is actually the evil-doing of TIN HANG, who has by now secured the kung fu script from LEE SAU and has his follower TIT KWANG carry the script for him. TIN HANG holds a farewell party to announce his withdrawal from the world of martial art, so that he can concentrate on studying the script. MO is suspicious of TIN's crime. With the help of KAU, he successfully unearths the dead bodies. The crowd is shocked. TIN HANG claims innocence and urges the people to search his house for the script. MOK wants to interrogate TIN but flees himself when he sees CHING FONG.

KAU carries the badly-injured TIN and meet SAN PING. SAN learns the whereabouts of the script and kills TIN. SAN returns to the school and announces the death of TIN, much to the grief of CHING LAM. He puts the blame on MO and also accused of KAU to be an accomplice. He furthers his killings and put all the blame on KAU‧ KAU is now being pursued. Fortunately, he comes to become great friends of SO SO, the daughter of MO. SO risks her life to save KAU.

SAN PING ambushes TIT KWANG at Lok Hau Slope. He kills TIT's gang but fails to the script. During the fight, he kills two children, a monstrous crime which he blames on KAU. SAN captures .KAU and imprisons him in a cell‧ MAN come into contact with KAU and learns of his innocence. She promises to help him gain back his innocence. SAN PING tracks down TIT, kills him and finally secures the script. To put the blame on KAU, he releases him, so that other people can get him for his alleged crimes.

Weak and sick, KAU finds shelter in an old woman's hut. SAN and his men come to get KAU. In the chaos, the old woman is shot dead. KAU falls down a well. Beneath the well, a hermit YUEN FONG grabs KAU before he hits the ground. He teaches KAU kung fu so that he can beat his enemies. To make sure that KAU is dead, SAN sends his men down the well. They surprised to see KAU's kung fu. FONG YUEN departs and KAU is on his own again. He meets FIVE POISONS and FIVE GOBLINS, but both fail to extract the poisons in KAU's body. SO SO is worried about KAU's safety. She begs MO to let her search for him.

MAN learns of KAU's situation and plans to look for him together with CHING LAM. The other two girls LAU LING and WING WING volunteer to go with them. Finding the three women too much a burden, MAN postpones the plan. During a check-up by the medicine man, MAN is discovered to be a woman, to the shock of the whole school, and particularly to CHING LAM, who has come to love MAN as a man. HAN is suspicious of MAN's motives for impersonating as a man. At this point, MOK YING appears. She recognizes the Jade that MAN is carrying and announces that she is actually the daughter of HAN. HAN changes MAN MIN'$ name to MAN MAN.

HANG learns about SAN's plot and starts preparing for the fight.
