WAI-CHOI gambled with AH-YE, who lost not only all his money but his newly wedded wife AH-KIU. Although WAI-CHOI refused, she kept following him everywhere. They changed their minds and took her home and called her BO-BUI. 7 years passed and they're tired of robbery. They tried to work but failed always. WAI-CHOI gambled and won, until he saw AH-KIU there and ran from her. He even made LUI-YEN moved house with him. CHU GOT-YAT never works but play. His parents thought it's time for him to get married. On the wedding night, he escapes and left his bride, FUNG-YEE behind. He got himself into a fight with LUI-YEN and WAI-CHOI but soon became good friends and promised to help to raise BO-BUI. She's now all grown up and pretty and deeply loved by her fathers. They are now MUT-TUNG's bouncer. LAU CHUI-YIK met BO-BUI while waiting for the rain to stop and was stung by her.

BO-BUI told her father’s how she met CHUI-YIK and they felt uneasy and warned her to be careful about strange men. She was careful the next time they met but found CHUI-YIK very sincere. MUT-TUNG sent the 3 fathers to get CHUI-YIK, who became convinced instead to leave MUT-TUNG. He got so angry and sent MUT-TAI and MUT-SIU after them. MAN TAI-NGO disapproved of LEN-TUNG's love sick look and sent him to take care of their pawn shop. LUI-YEN decided to hunt again. He fell off a cliff and was saved by MAN-CIN. But the rest thought him dead and feel very sad for him. He got well fast under her careful treatment and fell in love with her. But she reacted coldly towards him and sent him away when he's ready. LUI-YEN arrived in the middle of his own funeral but made everybody happy. They thought him slightly changed but he won't say a word. BO-BUI and LEN-TUNG have made a point to meet at the river side every day.

LEN-TUNG must go away for a few days and didn't have enough time to tell her. So she sat there the whole day. There's plague in GOT-YAT's village, so he went back to have a look. MUT-TUNG made Captain WOO to confiscate TAI-NGO's illegal salt. Just then the three were looking for a job and they joined in the police force. TAI-NGO have them beaten thinking they came for revenge. BO-BUI still feels sat not seeing LEN-TUNG and told CHUI-YIK about it. GOT-YAT was relieved when he saw his family safe and sound. But still cannot accept FUND-YEE as his wife and left her behind when he left. LEN-TUNG's locked up by his father because he failed to collect rent. When he got away, he went to see BO-BUI but was caught by CHUI-YIK.

LEN-TUNG told BO-BUI why he didn't come and she forgave him. But then his father came and grab him home where he's imprisoned. His mother secretly released him to go and meet BO-BUI. WAI-CHOI won a lot at the gambling house. He saw YAU-KIU again but soon got rid of her. LUI-YEN decided to start a restaurant with WAI-CHOI's winnings. YAU-KIU's got LUI-YEN's sympathy and was asked to stay but WAI-CHOI's stubborn and she left bitterly. MUT-TUNG asked for protection money when they started the business, which is poor. YAU-KIU, a good cook, helped in the kitchen without WAI-CHOI's knowledge, boost the business. GOT-YAT was attracted by AH-SAU when she came with her parents. They being greedy people, encouraged his courtship. But she set eyes on CHUI-YIK only.

She asked about CHUI-YIK but was disappointed by the limited answers she received from GOT-YAT. LUI-YEN decided to look for MAN-CIN again. LEN-TUNG got released and went straight to BO-BUI. CHUI-YIK after testing him, let him through. CHUI-YIK accompanied GOT-YAT to visit AH-SAU, who showed an interest only to him. CHUI-YIK takes no notice of her and encouraged GOT-YAT to carry on. LUI-YEN didn't find MAN-CIN. When he returns and saw LEN-TUNG with BO-BUI, he lost his temper and accused the other 3 being unable to take care of her properly. A fight took place.

BO-BUI got upset about them fighting and left them there. They went and apologized to her individually. BO-BUI pretend to have chicken-poks and ruin her face. When LEN-TUNG didn't mind that, they all know his love for her is true and made him learn Kung-Fu so to be able to take care of her. TAI-NGO set a trap for MUT-TUNG and LAU-CHUN to fight each other and they fell into it. LAU got hurt. When CHUI-YIK went home to see his father, AH-SAU came to look for him and left disappointed. LAU-CHUN wanted to leave his leadership of gang to CHUI-YIK but was refused. He left home again after having a fight.

He returned to LUI-YEN's place and met AH-SAU. She surprised him by showing her love for him but he refused her. When frequently refused to the kitchen, WAI-CHOI got suspicious. He got very angry to find YAU-KIU working there. After much persuasion, he gave in. AH-SAU wanted a date with CHUI-YIK but the letter fell into the hands of GOT-YAT. When he arrived, she admitted she loves only CHUI-YIK. He felt very bitter and raised hell with CHUI-YIK. With AH-SAU's mother's help, GOT-YAT spent a lot of money to be close to her. The restaurant is now in financial problem.

The restaurant finally closed. AH-SAU's mother refused GOT-YAT to be near her daughter. LUI-YEN went hunting and met MAN-CIN again. They found out that they missed each other and he spent the night. Commissioner MANG arrived and determent to clean up the town. The 4 was recruited as policeman. MUT-TUNG was angry and asked help from Captain W00 to help but his hands were tied. LUI-YEN made gown for MAN-CIN but BO-BUI thought it's for her. She got upset realizing the fact and the rest found out the progress that he made. Commissioner MANG gave a dinner party before he left. During the party MUT-TUNG learnt that LAU-CHUN is the father of CHUI-YIK. Thinking they're the ones behind everything, he started a fight. TAI-NGO took his opportunities to kill LAU-CHUN and blamed MUT-TUNG.

CHUI-YIK with his sorrow went home to his father's funeral. His mother insisted he takes over his father's position. He refused but swears he's for the revenge. The rest of the 3 got hold of MUT-TUNG, who denies killing LAU and they all got into a fight. LUI-YEN's party got forced into the celler. The girls got worried and YAU-KIU went to take a look and returned empty handed. LEN-TUNG found out their imprisonment. The girls were helped by LEN-TUNG to the rescue but got caught. Instead the others got freed.

MUT-TUNG told TAI-NGO to come and collect his son, LEN-TUNG, BO-BUI remained in the celler. AH-SAU's parents forced her to marry MUT-TUNG, she turned to her friends for help. WAI-CHOI got an idea how to save BO-BUI. During the wedding, LUI-YEN and his party, saved BO-BUI and AH-SAU got away too. They end up at the LAU's house and CHUI-YIK's mother took a liking to AH-SAU and took her as a daughter. They have reasons to suspect BO-BUI is MUT-TUNG's daughter and was proved by YAU-KIU's help. While still confused, MUT-TUNG came.

They were encouraged to fight by TAI-NGO and only fled when the police arrived. They thought of letting BO-BUI know about her true identity but decided to see MUT-TUNG's reaction first. BO-BUI tried to force LEN-TUNG to separate but he swore he'll love her always. She's deeply touched.

BO-BUI still part with LEN-TUNG for her fathers. MUT-TUNG immediately took her home remembering the treasure bag is still with her. At first she refused but it was too late. She was well treated until they realized the bag is not with her. They also searched the LAU family, when in vain, locked her up again. The fathers knew of her ill treatment, went to rescue her and got caught. She promised MUT-TUNG the bag for the released of them.

They went home, found the bag but held still. GOT-YAT's family fortune was cheated by TAI-NGO. He went home and gave some money to FUNGYEE to leave him. He'll return and team up the rest for the revenge. MUT-TUNG's trying all ways to force BO-BUI for the bag. GOT-YAT used a false one in exchanged for her. The fathers now permitted them to be together. TAI-NGO now tries to get LEN-TUNG to get the bag. LUI-YEN persuaded MAN-CIN to live with him, when refused, he tore her house down.

She was so moved she finally promised. AH-YING, LUI-YEN's wife didn't die after all and became a prostitute. Although LUI-YEN's not there, the rest of them asked her to stay after being sure of her identity. MAN-CIN came home with LUI-YEN. But left immediately when she saw his wife. He went after her. TAI-NGO told LEN-TUNG to take BO-BUI home and pretend to promise their wedding. She was shy and TAI-NGO's mad at her refusal. LUI-YEN failed to find MAN-CIN. He went home and wanted to give money to AH-YING for her to leave him. She team up with 2 thugs pretended to be kidnapped and squeeze LUI-YEN for more.

LUI-YEN refused to believe about the kidnapping. But he was convinced on the seconded trap she set up. The thugs were afraid to get too involved and sold her to TAI-NGO. TAI-NGO wanted to force BO-BUI to marry LEN-TUNG. CHUI-YIK got LEN-TUNG as hostage and force the exchange of AH-YING and won. LEN-TUNG and BO-BUI realized it's impossible to be together, so they committed suicide but failed. She went home and buried the bag under a tree and was seen by AH-YING. TAI-NGO taught LEN-TUNG to loop with BO-BUI, which they did but fell into the hands of TAI-NGO. AH-YING dug up the bag and left.

TAI-NGO used BO-BUI to force them to turn in the bag, which is nowhere to be found. MUT-TUNG tried to get BO-BUI too. He turned to the LAU family when BO-BUI's not with TAI-NGO. He got the cold shoulder and left. AH-YNG tried to get money from MUT-TUNG in exchange for the bag but forgot where she left it. He taught her a lesson for that. MUT-TUNG refused to see her again when she came, so she went to TAI-NGO. He thought it's false and sent her away. LUI-YEN wanted to save BO-BUI but was caught. BO-BUI took TAI-NGO to dig for the bag but failed. She's taken back for imprisonment. MAN-CIN suddenly appeared.
