Episode 1

CHUEN's husband dies, leaving behind CHUEN and their children SING, WAI, KEUNG and the twins CHUN and MEI. As CHUN has to receive surgical treatment, CHUEN needs five thousand dollars. She has no choice but tricks in a mahjong casino. However her tricks are discovered by KONG - the guard of the casino. KONG wants to punish her but is stopped by SUZIE. SUZIE forces CHUEN to assist her in tricking BILL. Being seduced by CHUEN, BILL is tricked. CHUEN gets her share of five thousand dollars. SING wants to help his family and he quits his study. On the other hand, WAI wants to take accommodation in school to stay away from fealty. CHUEN is angry as she does not want her family to shatter.

Episode 2

BILL discovers that he has been tricked by CHUEN. He goes to question her. In chaos, she hurts BILL's cousin SHING. SHING is a member of the triad society. As CHUEN does not want her children to be involved, she takes refuge in the Philippines alone. Meanwhile CHUN is receiving treatment in hospital, WAI stays in school, SING helps FAT in selling fish. CHUEN's good friend KING promises to take care of KEUNG and MEI for CHUEN. In the Philippines, CHUEN is framed having killed the inn-owner and is sentenced twenty-year imprisonment. After eighteen years, CHUEN saves an infant in a big fire occurring in the prison.

MEI is Trust rated with CHUEN's being her mother. CHUEN wants to find CHUN and WAI. SING steals money from FAT's restaurant. He is suspects and criticised by KUEN. However SING makes no defence. MEI breaks a display window and has to make compensation by giving twenty thousand dollars. CHUEN helps MEI to trick SING to get the money but her plan is in vain. All are unhappy. As MEI is his sister, SING secretly lends MEI the money, not letting KUEN know. CHUEN wants to help MA in cleaning the her shop for MEI.MEI wants to help but is regarded as a shop litter. In chaos, MA is pushed towards the display window and is hurt by broken glass. MEI is accused for this.

Episode 6

WAI's car is trapped in mud and she is helped by CHUEN to overcome the situation. However WAI does not change her attitude towards CHUEN. CHUEN is hurt and is cured by WAI's boyfriend CHO. CHUEN wants to see KEUNG but is fooled by MEI. CHUEN suspects MEI and at last MEI tells her that by accident KEUNG has become an idiot. KING feels ashamed as she has not taken good care OT MEI and KEUNG. However CHUEN does not blame her and she also feels guilty. CHUEN goes to visit KEUNG. KEUNG is condition is gradually improving. She takes KEUNG to have a walk. Unexpectedly they come across a honeycomb and are attacked by a swarm of bees. CHO gives that treatment and CHUEN is warned by the hospital authority.

Episode 7

CHUEN wants KEUNG to live with her instead or staying in the hospital and she is supported by SING. With CHO's assistance, CHUEN is application is accepted. LUNG and KEUNG can accept each other but KUEN does not like KEUNG. WAI and CHO have lived together for several years and CHO wants to marry WAI and have their children. However WAI has the phobia and farces to accept the marriage. This creates conflicts between them. On the other hand, CHO rinds that KO admires WAI. LUNG leaves KEUNG in the playground. MEI is nervous and goes to rind KEUNG. Episode 8 KEUNG suffers from influenza. KUEN is afraid that she may be infected. She locks him up. CHUEN worries that KEUNG may have an accident and asks LAI to take care or him. Knowing what KUEN has done to KEUNG, MEI is angry. Later KEUNG is hurt when he wants to drive away a dog for LUNG. KEUNG is sent to hospital. MEI argues with KUEN and LUNG for this.… ...

KEUNG suffers from influenza. KUEN is afraid that she may be infected. She locks him up. CHUEN worries that KEUNG may have an accident and asks LAI to take care or him. Knowing what KUEN has done to KEUNG, MEI is angry. Later KEUNG is hurt when he wants to drive away a dog for LUNG. KEUNG is sent to hospital. MEI argues with KUEN and LUNG for this. The hospital authority thinks that it is better for KEUNG to stay. Luckily CHO convinces the hospital authority to let KEUNG stay with CHUEN. WAI to sent overseas with KO for business. WAI regards career as the most important aspect or her lire. CHO reels frustrated.

MEI finds a job or salesgirl. Her friend scratches a tennis racket and she frames CHUN. CHUN brings it back and complains. MEI is fired. MEI thinks that it is CHUN's fault and she rinds a new job as a drug smuggler. LAI and CHUN mutually impress each other. MEI is discontented with them. She sprays paint on CHUN's car and lurks him. However CHUN insists on dating with LA!. KUEN shows no concern though KEUNG does not return on time. She asks CHUEN to focus on her work. KEUNG returns with CHUN's assistance and CHUEN gets known or CHUN.

Episode 10

CHUEN knows the problem between CHUN and LAI and she tries to bridge them. CHUN invites LAI to attend his birthday. However MEI has the same birthday. CHUEN arranges MEI's party at 10 o'clock so that LAI can meet CHUN first. MEI is touched when she knows that CHUEN and LAI celebrate with her but she pretends that she has no concern or it. By mistake, CHUEN exchange CHUN and MEI's birthday cakes. MEI is angry to learn that LAI stays with CHUN. She goes to question them MEI puts some sort drugs in CHUN's drinks. Being arrested by the drug, CHUN loses his self-control and they have a car race in the street.

Episode 11

LAI, MEI and CHUN meet a traffic accident and they hurt a policeman. The police find MEI carrying some drugs. CHUN is sent to hospital. KING threatens LAI to make false statement stating that the drugs belong to CHUN. To protect CHUN, WAI has no choice but proves that MEI has poisoned CHUN with the drugs. MEI is sentenced six-month imprisonment. KEUNG is humiliated when he works in a fast rood shop. MEI is beaten up by other prisoners. CHUEN reels heart-broken.

Episode 12

KEUNG begs his boss to give him one more chance and at last his hard?working attitude wins his boss' appreciation. CHUEN teaches KEUNG to go home alone. Though KEUNG has used a lot or time, he finally manages to finish the trip. SING and CHUEN are happy. LAI does not want to see CHUN for MEI's case. CHUEN knows her reeling and tries to bridge them. At last they start all over again. WAI bears a baby and she wants to get rid or it, not letting CHO know. CHUEN gets wind or it and stops her.

Episode 13

WAI faints and CHUEN sends her to hospital. CHO begs WAI to marry him when he knows the news about the baby. WAI ferules and CHO is disappointed. CHUEN advises CHO not to give up and talks with WAI. WAI is convinced. KUEN and KEUNG argue in the restaurant. SING is angry and leaves home. CHUEN brings SING to KING's home to play mahjong. There they meet LULU - a taxi-dancer. Knowing that SING has considerable fortune, LULU invites SING to join her business or selling illegal cigarette. SING agrees and does not tell the others. This becomes the seed or a problem.

WAI promises to marry CHO. Moreover she is touched by CHUEN. She agrees to have CHUEN to hold the combing ceremony for her. She is impressed by CHUEN's sincere attitude and hatred towards CHUEN in her heart gradually vanishes. In the wedding ceremony, CHUEN meets Doctor WONG and his wire. From them, she knows that CHUN is her son. For CHUN's future CHUEN decides to keep the secret. SING earns much room LULU's business and their relationship becomes more and more intimate. Seduced by LULU, SING sleeps with her. However their filthy relationship is discovered by KUEN.

Episode 15

KUEN is angry to see SING and LULU sleeping in bed. She quarrels with SING in the restaurant. For his prestige, SING does not apologise and lets KUEN leave with LUNG. KUEN is disappointed with SING and decides to go to Macau with LUNG. CHUEN wants to stop her. Being entangled by LULU, SING has no chance to stop her. KUEN leaves in firer. CHUEN is humiliated by LULU when she wants LULU to leave SING. KING is also angry with LULU. LULU and some tricksters lay trap to deceive SING. SING is in financial difficult. LULU advises SING to borrow more money from the bank with his restaurant. SING loses again and has no more opportunity.

Episode 16

In order to pay SING's debt, CHUEN seeks help from Doctor WONG. Mrs. WONG gives her rive hundred thousand dollars as compensation. It is discovered by CHUN. CHUN hates CHUEN, thinking that she has sold him for money. SING goes to question the tricksters as his family has been spoiled and his restaurant has been taken by the bank. However he is beaten up and he is forced to give the tricksters two hundred thousand dollars. CHUEN goes to save SING but is caught. Luckily KING has reported to the police. The tricksters are arrested. KING meets KONG again. CHUEN is told that KING lived with KONG and gave birth to LAI. KONG indirectly made KEUNG an idiot. SING has to close the restaurant. KUEN returns and returns the house to him but at the same time, she decides to leave SING. SING regrets and decides to repent.

Episode 17

KING admits that KONG is LAI's rather. On the other hand LAI is discontented with CHUEN as she regards CHUEN as a money-oriented person. SING cannot concentrate his mind and by mistake he cuts his hand. As SING cannot stop bleeding, he is sent to hospital. He has to receive marrow transplant. However CHUEN and KEUNG do not have the suitable type. CHUEN begs MEI but MEI hates SING. At last MEI is touched by CHUEN. WAI also wants to donate her marrow but as she is pregnant, CHUN stops her. On the other hand, SING does not want KUEN to suffer and he agrees to divorce.

Episode 18

When KUEN knows SING's situation, she decides to overcome the difficult situation with SING. CHUEN to happy to rind that CHUN has donated his marrow. She thinks that CHUN has forgiven her. However CHUN still misunderstands her. At last CHUEN manages to solve the problem between LAI and CHUN. LAI goes to visit CHUN in the hospital. MEI goes to visit SING as she has in fact forgiven him. She is angry to see LAI and CHUN. LAI tells MEI the relationship between her and CHUN and hopes that MEI can accept them. Driven by hatred, MEI decides to avenge.

Episode 19

MEI lays a trap to catch LAI and CHUN. She and her henchmen take their naked pictures so as to blackmail CHUN. CHUEN decides to get the pictures back for CHUN. As MEI refuses to surrender the pictures, CHUEN tells her the fact that MEI and CHUN are twins. MEI is shocked and returns the pictures. However she leaves one which is picked up by KONG. KONG threatens CHUN. Feeling ashamed, LAI commits suicide. MEI regrets but it is too late. MEI goes to question KONG and in chaos KONG falls down the staircase and dies. KEUNG arrives and is shocked by the scene. KEUNG is suspected as the killer. In order to protect KEUNG, both CHUEN and MEI blame to be the actual killer.

Episode 20

At last CHUEN shoulders the blame and is accused as the killer. In order to save CHUEN, WAI uses her power to destroy the evidence. However KO discovers that CHUEN is her mother. WAI admits it and CHUEN is touched. WAI is going to give birth to a baby. WAI delivers a girl. CHUEN claims that she has to see the doctor and she has a chance to meet WAI. During the re-trial, KEUNG suddenly discloses the incident and tells how KONG killed himself after he had fallen down the staircase by mistake. CHUEN is set free. CHUEN is excited as she can reunite with her children, she is shocked to learn that she suffers from liver cancer and is going to die soon.
