YEUNG KUO HAI has to help his mother LAI HAN to clean the pig farm every morning. This causes him to be late for class. SHU KEN follows one lorry driver to reach the Seven Best restaurant in Sheung Wan unintentionally. He feels so hungry that he eats the food waste in a barrel. Auntie CHEUNG sees this and instructs him to clean the dishes for compensation. When he is washing dishes, he faints due to over-exhausted. Uncle SEVEN rescues him and also arranges him to work in the restaurant. This provides SHU KEN a stable living. SHU KEN follows Uncle SEVEN to go to KAN's house to help decorating a gathering. When he sees WAI CHUNG playing piano, he recalls the scene of LAI HAN teaching in the primary school. He again feels very sad about the fate of his family. SHU KEN is troubled by his colleagues' rumour and understands that it will ruin CHUNG's reputation. He arranges to meet her and requests her to ask her father to break the rumour in public. But WAI HO just passes by and presumes that KEN wants to steal his love. He becomes very angry and gives SHU KEN a strong hit. WAI CHUNG takes care of SHU KEN's wounds. When LAI HAN arrives at the hospital, she sees WAI CHUNG has borne a baby for SHU KEN. She runs away hopelessly and cries. CHUN CHUEN is a speculator. He comes across lots of failure and often in debt for high interest loan. Poor KEI LOO has to do three or four part-time jobs to pay for his debt. In fact, twenty years ago, CHUN CHUEN who does not want CHUK KEI to seize his wife and daughter, therefore, he has smuggled into Hong Kong aiming to get back KEI LOO. SHU KEN reaches KUO's home and sees LAI HAN. He has complex feeling in his heart and he wants to disclose their relationship. SHU KEN takes a chance to arrange a meeting with LAI HAN alone and explains to her that his re-marriage is due to his belief of LAI YIN's saying that they are dead. MAN HAI hopes to make use of the close working relationship of PO SHAN with the Mainland officials so as to let KUO HAI to work in Hong Kong. But PO SHAN does not want to help SHU KEN and so refuses to act as referee. AH WUN insults MAN HAI in public due to little quarrel. This makes him lose face and cherish hatred. So he makes a trick to fool AH WUN but is fooled by her instead. WAI CHUNG meets MEI OI again. Just when they are recalling the event they gave birth to their babies at the same day, MAN HAI and AH WUN appear. WAI CHUNG presumes AH WUN is KEI LOO and this embarasses MEI OI. It seems to AH WUN that there must be some secret after she has listened to the conversation between CHUNG and OI. So she asks CHUK KEI about this, he tells her the story frankly. He obviously knows her jealous feeling and so he tries to cheer her up. Finally he gets her love with fast progress in their love affairs. KUO HAI decides to reorganize the Seven Best restaurant but SHU KEN is afraid that the employee will have a misunderstanding of the shut-down of business. KUO HAI suggests that SHU KEN should make use of the chance of holding the birthday party in Seven Best to redecorate the restaurant. SHU KEN greatly appraises KUO's idea. Being worried about KEI LOO, MEI OI often follows her. Although KEI LOO realizes this, she still treats her as a stranger.

AH WUN hires a taxi which has been delegated to KEI LOO only for return by uncle MING. She misunderstands LOO refuses to service her intentionally, she shouts and alarms the police. KEI LOO drives her without choice but is still troubled by her on the way. KEI LOO drives AH WUN to the New Territories but the taxi has got into trouble. She requests AH WUN to help pushing the taxi but she refuses and she phones to get help from MAN HAI instead. After a short while, KEI LOO has successfully repaired the taxi but AH WUN refuses to get into her taxi. She rather stays there to wait for MAN HAI but he doesn't appear after her lonely long waiting. KEI LOO's taxi gets into trouble again but she meets MAN HAI luckily this time. They repair the taxi co-operatively. But MAN HAI faints due to over-exhausted. KEI LOO does the artificial repiration for him but is seen by AH WUN from far away.… ...

SHU KEN ships a refrigerator to LAI HAN. She first misunderstands that KUO HAI has become rich and buys her this present. After he realizes that this is bought by SHU KEN, she feels so disappointed that she gives this to YOR CHUN immediately. KOO KEUNG goes to the hotel to show off before YUEN LEE. YUEN SUN feels annoying that he delegates somebody to hit him. KOO KEUNG is so angry that he swears to disclose the smuggling event of YUEN LEE. Seeing SHU KEN and KUO HAI reunite and manage the business together, LAI YIN wants to maintain close relationship with them so as to get benefits. But SHU KEN has already a very poor impression on him. PO SHAN expands her business to Taiwan market. As KEI LOO has deep knowledge on the taste of Taiwanese, she helps PO SHAN a lot and has become her right hand man. However, KUO behaves very cool and claims that their relationship has ended due to YUEN LEE's unfaithfulness. But YOR CHUN doesn't believe, he goes to find out the truth from YUEN LEE in Shanghai immediately. LAI HAN visits KUO HAI in Hong Kong.
