But when the man finally sees he will be caught, he takes the two women as hostages and flees.

Nick is suspected of killing both. While he is sitting in prison, Sylvie finds out that someone wants revenge on Nick. There is just one chance left for Nick: He has to break out of prison and to investigate the crimes himself.

Sylvie is approached by her old friend Cory Ann Crawford who works at a telephone sex line. A colleague of hers was murdered after receiving phone calls from a man calling himself Steven, and now that Steven is calling her, she is afraid for her life. Because he looks "like hell in fishnet stockings", Nick sends Sylvie undercover at the telephone line, while he sets about finding Steven.
