Episode 1

Magistrate KO HEI MAN and her husband, a computer formula designer, KOT KWOK KWONG bring their son YIN CHO for an interview at a kindergarten early one morning. The Principal thinks KWONG is a great father who spends so much time with his son. MAN finds no interest of which she has been selected by a magazine as “The Most Prestigious Magistrate of the Year”. When the family gets back to the village, they meet Uncle 13 KOT TAK WAN involves in an argument with the workers. He misunderstands that the workers are there to dismantle the ancestral temple rather than the pond. MAN makes them release the workers by saying that it is an imprisonment crime to keep the workers illegally. WAN discloses that he is back to HK since he has separated with his girlfriend LO WING SZE. The renovation of KWONG’s new home is done and he has to move out.… ...

Episode 2

MAN acts as the character witness in court for YING and lists out evidences to proof her innocent. Finally YING is acquitted. Cleaning worker PING is sued for stealing the ashes of her deceased boyfriend by his wife LAU FONG. MAN sentences PING innocence but has to return the ashes to FONG. KWONG plays some tricks to get a bit of the ashes for PING and she really appreciates. MAN will be promoted as a Superintendent of Magistrate while KWONG’s sister PO YEE is recruited as a Superintendent of Prosecutor. KWONG meets his best friends SO AH KEI and LEUNG YAN YAN on the street and both make fun of him. AK and YAN are getting married and want to invite CHO as the flower boy. KWONG wants to take some wedding pictures with MAN and she happily agrees. During a court case, HO SHI FU is charged for loitering. MAN refutes all his sophistries and fines him with a Community Service Order.… ...

Episode 3

MAN worries that KWONG may get mad since she cannot go the bridal salon in time. Instead of being angry, KWONG feels very disappointed. AK and YAN are surprised to see her parents in HK. Her mother wants to throw a special airborne wedding ceremony and it makes AK very distressed. WAN teases AK for having a rich wife. After knowing his poor situation, WAN suggests AK to take YING as his godmother so that the KO family can fully support him. MAN also thinks that it can spiritually help YING as well. Some stinky tofu is disturbing the neighborhood, so MAN does an on-the-spot investigation about the case. With the smell of a handkerchief, the defendant is charged with causing a public nuisance. On the wedding day, WAN and the others are clamoring around and upset YAN’s mother. On the plane, WAN eats the dumplings accidentally which are supposed to be used for the wedding.… ...

Knowing that AK still loves YAN a lot, MAN brings his pre-marital agreement to show YAN and suggests AK to give YAN his vow of love. By giving YAN the wedding that she has been dreaming of, YAN is finally touched. MAN officially starts working at the Northern District Magistrates Court as a Superintendent of Magistrate. MAN is distressed to see YEE bringing her the soup that YING has specially made for her. YING slips over a banana skin, which is thrown by FU. She thinks FU is a good guy when he helps her to get onto a car. GARY wants to break up the partnership with KWONG. MAN wants to sue him for trying to embezzle all the shares but KWONG stops her. WAN wants to run some business together with KWONG. Before knowing what sort of business to run, KWONG already starts looking for a shop. WAN is obsessed with an aerobic dance instructor HO SAU SAU and wants to rent a shop right opposite her fitness center.… ...

Episode 6

Helping SAU to chase after the robber, KWONG has hurt his head. Ecchymosis is found inside the brain that stimulates masculine characteristics. He starts losing temper and his unruly behavior causes a lot of trouble. Being complained often by KWONG, MAN suffers a lot. WAN is opening his new shop and tries to keep close to SAU but she gives him a cold shoulder instead. After being set up by the villager DAI MEI, DAI FEI is charged for drunk driving. If his license is suspended, he will be unemployed. KIN appears in court to defend FEI and proves his innocence. KWONG creates troubles again and shouts at the passenger on the bus due to some minor matter. He is being filmed furtively and the video spreads around on the Internet. Viewers of the web named him “Bus Brother” and MAN gets so embarrassed when her working colleagues all know about it. Yet KWONG feels very pleased with himself instead.… ...

Episode 7

After altering the pictures, WAN makes KWONG show up as Superman to promote his product. MAN is mad with the idea and talks to WAN but it makes KWONG not happy to be treated as a sick person. SAU has to mediate between them. FU recommends a quack to YING and he cures KWONG with boys’ urine. MAN suspects that FU is also a swindler and eventually confirms that he is innocent. KWONG wants to change his image before he goes on with the advertisement. When SAU meets FU and recalls all the past memories. FU has no idea that SAU is actually his daughter. YEE meets KIN at the bar and knows that he has a girlfriend. Yet she has no idea that they are breaking up. Looking after KWONG makes MAN tired out. She dozes off in court and the case has to be remanded. MAN is so ashamed and stressful, she puts the blame on KWONG and he turns around to ask MAN to quit her job.

Episode 8

It makes MAN feel even lonelier when all her colleagues fully support her. SAU gets to know a lot about FU from his adopted daughter NG HOI TUNG. She goes over to his store and visits FU. SAU is not happy seeing FU flirts with all the housewives. YEE indicates to KIN that his girlfriend is having an affair with somebody. She also spends time keeping his aunt company. KIN wants to show his appreciation and guides YEE the technique how to win the reopening case. MAN’s parents TIN and KUEN are back in HK. While the family is having lunch, KWONG vents his anger on MAN again and makes her cry. While examining a case in court about the abandonment of animals, MAN recalls the marital pledge that she has once made. MAN applies for a leave from her master SUNG in order to take care of KWONG. KWONG is recovering but WAN asks KWONG to act sick as to keep MAN with him and maintain his masculine image.… ...

Episode 9

MAN finally finds that she is deceived and leaves home with great anger despite all the apologies KWONG has made. After the leave, MAN is back at work and finds that SUNG has assigned KIN to act as the deputy judge. While handling the first case, KIN is acting amusingly at court. The innocent old lady is freed from guilt but MAN thinks that his behavior ruins the august presence of the court. Although YING convinces MAN to get back together with KWONG, she still thinks that the marriage is a mistake since it purely is based on responsibility. YING finds out that TUNG is not FU’s real daughter. As to promote the new product Female Magic and to keep close to SAU, WAN wants KWONG to talk her into it. During the conversation, SAU gets to know the problem between the couple. She purposely arranges MAN to visit the primary school which she has studied before.… ...

Episode 10

With the help from SAU, MAN knows that KWONG has been in love with her secretly for years. The marriage does not build on responsibility and MAN reconciles with KWONG. FU pays SAU and TUNG a visit while they are shooting for the advertisement to help promote the Female Magic. SAU plays a trick on FU and makes him fall into the swimming pool. FU meets YING at the community center. FU is very guilty since he has once chased away his wife and daughter. LI KING HO comes from a wealthy family. He is charged for speeding that has caused a female passer-by killed by heart attack. HO wants to get away with some loopholes in the law but KIN refuses his bail. HO is remanded into custody and MAN thinks that KIN is abusing his authority. She condemns KIN and makes YEE happy about it. WAN visits SAU with present as to show his love but her son MING just gets home and spoils everything.… ...

Episode 11

MAN presses KWONG to tell her about the DNA test but she cannot find a chance to ask KUEN who is her real father. As to please SAU, WAN tries to help her son finish building his model. Yet MING keeps fooling him around. CHUNG TAI FAT is charged of beating up his wife. While handling this case, MAN obtains the enlightenment and does not want to ruin the loving relationship of her parents. She decides to give up finding the truth. WAN accompanies SAU and MING to the graveyard and they meet FU and TUNG. FU realizes that SAU is his daughter when he sees the photo of her mother. With his own impulsiveness, FU had once chased SAU and her mother away and he regrets it so much. Nevertheless, SAU refuses to accept FU as her father. YING brings FU to a workshop for repairing the broken jade bracelet and bumps into KUEN. MAN suspects that KUEN is meeting her lover and follows her secretly.… ...

Episode 12

The whole family is astounded to find from the DNA report that MAN is not the daughter of TIN and KUEN. KUEN is mad at TIN for accusing her and moves out to live with MAN. MAN and KUEN try to investigate through all the birth records of the hospital over thirty years ago. They are disappointed to find that the records are all destroyed. The pair is reconciled after TIN has an asthma attack. TIN opens up a wine shop but cannot find MAN during the celebration. She is busy finding out that during the fire of the Bo Yuk Hospital, someone had mistakenly swapped the baby girls between the KO and HO family. The baby girl of the HO family is called HO SZ HEI. The ex-husband of SAU is back to HK and KIT tells her that MING is a gifted student. He sneaks back to HK for he refuses to enter the college. KIT slaps MING on the street and is brought back to the police station. He then agrees to let SAU take care of MING.… ...

Episode 13

Photojournalist MING keeps tracking MAN and her family and she finds it absolutely repugnant. YEE cannot stand the behavior of the paparazzi and KIN has an idea to deal with it. The guest takes over as host, MAN has filed a lawsuit against photojournalist MING and his newspaper organization for contempt of court. Due to insufficient evidence and the charge is untenable. As being the Magistrate, KIN suggests MAN to seek an injunction as to stop being followed. Knowing from YEE that the idea comes from KIN, MAN thinks that it is inconsistent with his status and wants the case back for review. Yet KIN thinks that his conscience is clear. For slapping MING once, SAU is fighting with KIT about the custody again. WAN and FU try to negotiate with KIT but gets him injured accidentally. SAU is afraid that FU may be put to prison and negotiates with KIT. He wants SAU to give up the custody and they both fall into a dispute again.… ...

Episode 14

MAN is astonished to find that HEI has taken certain parts of the sex change operations and will become a man soon. Moreover HEI seems to hang around with some bad companies and she was once sent to the Girls Home. MAN wants to hide the news from TIN and KUEN in case they feel hurt but KWONG disagrees. After meeting HEI, KWONG thinks HEI is a nice person and a DNA test may help find out her real identity. FU tries to please SAU with making her soup all the time, it causes her more distress. When SAU finds that FU is injured during the robbery as he tries to protect the relic from her deceased mother, she forgives and accepts FU. HEI knows about her real identity from MAN and her family, HEI is shocked and refuses to take the DNA test. HEI is beaten up by a gangster CHOI due to some old debts. KUEN saves HEI and uses her luxury watch as a mortgage.… ...

Episode 15

HEI worries that her neuter status may cause embarrassment to KUEN in the future. KUEN decides to financially support HEI in taking the sex change operation. When packing the clothes, HEI finds that she was not born at Bo Yuk Hospital at all. After seeing the DNA report, HEI struggles. KEUN gets two hundred thousand dollars for HEI to take the operation in Thailand. When KUEN knows that she is being deceived, she questions HEI about it. KUEN fainted and is admitted into the hospital, HEI returns the money secretly. KUEN knows that she has caused all the troubles and wants to support HEI to become a real man, HEI is grateful. As to help SAU to repair the grave of her deceased mother, FU takes up a job offered by CHOI as a freight driver. He is arrested for smuggling. KIN points out that they must find CHOI in order to save FU. KWONG and WAN manage to find CHOI and save FU.… ...

The whole family is filled with joy after knowing that SAU is the real daughter of TIN and KUEN. Yet MAN has too much prejudice against FU and she refuses to disclose the fact that FU is her father. KWONG purposely arranges MAN to watch FU’s performance at the elderly home but her whole heart still revolts against FU. Even when MAN sees how FU endangers his life just to save a child, it does not change her mind. A golden retriever is brought to trail on charges of attacking. After MAN has investigated the case, the owner is acquitted. TUNG squanders a lot and accumulates so many debts with the credit card companies. WAN teaches FU to claim some compensation from the hospital and it makes MAN feel worse about FU. SAU gives money to FU to pay off the debts for TUNG. FU is surprised to see SAU being together with TIN in the car. FU follows them back home and he beats TIN recklessly.… ...

YEE moves out to live with KIN since she has an argument with MAN about the wounding case. MAN and KWONG go all out to find evidence as the defense for YEE. Luckily they find a video from the Internet and YEE is acquitted. MAN gives “Fishermen” lenient sentence as well. During a cocktail party, SAU meets SHAN and they both get along very well. Knowing that SHAN has lessons alone with SAU, WAN challenges him with his dancing skill. TUNG finds it hard to make ends meet since she squanders all her money. She has to promote Male Magic on her own and almost gets sexual assaults. WAN saves her in time and then she knows that her own father did not leave her any money at all. FU leaps from a building accidentally, KWONG brings MAN to visit him. Seeing that FU is still so mischievous, MAN leaves unpleasantly. SAU and KUEN celebrate TIN’s birthday and TIN bumps into his old lover.… ...

Episode 19

SAU blames herself for the fight between TIN and KUEN. WAN teaches her to make a durian cake to cheer them up. Yet MAN has already settled the fight and SAU feels more lost just like an outsider. WAN is mad when ever time he approaches SAU and SHAN always snatches his chances. MAN always receives odd presents and someone strange is always there whenever MAN is handling the trials at court. MAN is deeply disturbed when she finds herself being tracked. KIN and YEE feel very inconvenient to live under the same roof but both find it hard to bring the subject out. KIN and his friends play a trick to make YEE move out. When YEE knows the truth, she moves back home with great anger. The strange person always appears at court is just someone whom MAN has once helped. All the odd presents are from FU and he is also the one who follows MAN just in the hope of patching up with her. It did make her more repugnance against him.

CHO receives an award from school and KWONG tries to arrange FU, SAU and her family to be there. Yet it makes FU and SAU very embarrassed to get involved. KIT gets married again and MING gets along well with his stepmother. It bothers SAU a lot; she wants TIN and KUEN to help her fight for the custody. PUI and TUNG try to make peace between YEE and KIN. WAN tries to gain some sympathy from SAU and it is spoiled by SHAN again. When WAN gets drunk, TUNG is there to keep him company. The next morning WAN is shocked to find himself wearing different clothes and being with TUNG in the same room. TUNG informs MAN and KWONG that FU has dropped from the mountain and is uncertain of his safeness. At her home, MAN finds a message from FU and realizes how good he has been. It makes MAN feel very guilty. FU returns home suddenly and it is only a misunderstanding that he has dropped off the mountain.… ...

MAN is in the hospital when the press injures her left eye. SAU is not happy to see that TIN and KUEN cancel their trip to the States for visiting MAN. FU brings the DNA report and sneaks into the hospital. He blames himself hard for causing all the troubles that he will disappear from then. MAN finally accepts FU as her father. WAN waits for TUNG to return anxiously. TUNG lies to him that they already had an affair and WAN agrees to be responsible for it. When YEE visits KIN, she sees KIN hugging his ex-girlfriend. YEE gives him a big slap and leaves. The power of the press questions MAN about her fairness when handling the cases of FU in the past. CHUNG declares that he will form an ad hoc group to review the cases. He also advises MAN to take a leave. When PUI resigns, she sees FU is having an argument inside a newspaper office and pull him away.… ...

The police official charges FU for arson at the newspaper office. FU reveals that he did go back there but he denies the crime. SHAN tries the case and he does not allow FU to be on bail. MAN cannot get any clues from the convenience store. SAU discloses to the psychologist how much she detests MAN and she must take everything away from MAN. The doctor thinks SAU should go and see a psychiatrist instead. During the gathering with the ex-colleagues, PUI knows that photojournalist MING owes a lot of debts with high interest. KIN makes photojournalist MING to witness against the debtor and point out that he is the one who set the newspaper office on fire. FU is then acquitted. KIN assures YEE that she is the only one who has his house key and they patch up. WAN feels miserable when he finds out that SHAN is not flirting with SAU and they are not lovers at all.… ...

Episode 23

During a rescue, FU is hurt and admitted into the hospital. MAN finds that he helps raising a few orphans and the impression towards FU has totally changed. HO wants all his gifts back from his ex-girlfriend LING. KIN pours ridicule on him in front of everybody. HO harms his own body just to accuse KIN for wounding him. YEE thinks that KIN is fond of LING and gets himself involved with HO. She proposes a separation with KIN. WAN accompanies SAU to get some Chinese medicine for KWONG. He is amazed to see the way SAU dresses as to impersonate MAN. WAN goes to the hospital because of his back pain and bumps into SAU there. He follows her and finds that KWONG is admitted into the hospital. When MAN and FU are back to HK, WAN informs them about it. MAN rushes to the hospital and KWONG apologizes to her. MAN is shocked to find that SAU claims herself as Mrs. KOT and she dresses up like MAN as well.… ...

MAN worries that SAU may harm CHO and WAN condemns her for not caring about SAU at all. When WAN is looking for SAU high and low, he receives her call. WAN rushes to Cheung Chau Island immediately. He makes an excuse of buying some supper and sneaks out to call KWONG. WAN gets a bunch of flowers outside the temple as to please SAU. Yet the flowers make CHO suffocated due to his hay fever. SAU and WAN immediately send CHO to the hospital. SAU claims to be his mother but does not know a thing about the boy. Being not able to answer the doctor, it drives SAU mad and burst out screaming. Lucky KWONG and MAN are there just in time. SAU refuses to eat and says nothing; KEUN and the rest are worried. For the sake of stimulating SAU, WAN eats crazily in front of her and finally makes SAU eat again. In a pub, HO provokes YEE to drink and quietly put some overpowering drugs inside her drinks.… ...

The analysis report indicates that although it is a benign tumor inside KWONG, its size will grow and affect the memory. He will also get headaches and collapse in no time. The risk of the operation is that certain parts of the memory may be lost and KWONG refuses to take it. MAN takes a leave and waits for KWONG to agree taking the operation. WAN invites SAU to perform at the company anniversary commemoration. SAU rejects and recommends TUNG to do the performance. During the celebration, TUNG falls sick suddenly and SAU has to take over her place. SAU is overjoyed when MING appears and presents her with flowers. It really bothers MAN when there is a moment KWONG has no idea who she is. MAN insists that KWONG must take the operation. If not, she will propose a divorce. TUNG lets WAN know that there is no affair between them and WAN quickly rushes to the airport to show SAU his love.… ...
